4 pointsGood Afternoon, inadequate, little fella. No you didn't, so let's have it again. What division are SWFC & position in? That team you're so proud of or once again, embarrassed / ashamed to admit it?
-
3 pointsNever appealed to me. I just want to walk down the pavement that is intended for me to walk down. That's not too much to ask.
-
3 pointsThey donβt work properly for folks around me who have them so I keep ignoring the request to have one installed despite the incentives offered. Iβm still quite capable of reading my electric meter (we donβt have mains gas) and submitting the reading via the internet so that I know Iβm being charged correctly. The nation is getting lazier. Remember a time when you actually had to get up from your sofa to change the tv channel or volume? No wonder obesity is on the increase!!! echo.

3 pointsI've nothing against people of faith, and admire the achievements of many, Some of my best friends............etc But all major religions have many sects and factions, some benign, some fundamentally extreme. They are a human creation, But at this point in history one religion in particular has factions that are at war with each other and are causing mayhem amongst their own citizens, and their neighbors.

3 pointsSounds like a "contented simple life" to me! π Where do you find all these "bar stewards" if you don't get out to pubs? What happened? Your monkey died?

2 pointsIf its safe to move then do so, if its not safe then don't. Emergency vehicles will turn off sirens at traffic lights if it means that it would put a driver in danger of going through a live junction. People stop too close to the car in front to be able to make any vehicle position change, keeping a gap so you can see the road under the rear bumper is enough.
-

-
2 pointsMaybe so. But equally, an emergency is an emergency and it requires a bit of thought and action.
-
2 pointsI would move and have done so in the past. Also driven up pavements or whatever. Some people seem to freeze and panic when emergency vehicles need to make progress. Sounds ridiculous to get a ticket in the circumstances
-
2 pointsItβs probably also been used as a toilet. Iβve seen some of street people in clothes that theyβve soiled themselves in. Presumably because they are so off their heads on some substance or other they donβt know or care that theyβve π© or peed their pants. And/or have severe mental health issues. This is where the money goes from begging. Drugs.
-
2 pointsHow about us pedestrians shovel it all off the pavement and in to the road in massive mound then. It's gotta go somewhere, innit!
-
2 pointsHow does piling snow up at the edge of the road block the road? Or how does piling snow at the side of the driveway block the driveway? And why is it acceptable to block the pavement? This is simple, considerate behaviour, so that everyone can go about their business without undue difficulty.
-
2 pointsAt the side of the road, or on the driveway. Not blocking pavements.
-
2 pointsIt's selfish how car drivers use all of the salt to get their car out, leaving none for pedestrians and also create huge mounds of snow on the pavement, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk along the pavement. The selfishness of car drivers never ceases to amaze me.
-
2 pointsWell I've been tempted a few times to organise a Sheffield Forum charity boxing match so we can meet up and go three rounds in the ring That would separate the men from the little boys And it's for charity π

2 pointsNow back to the topic. Climate change! The latest Climate Change conference, where major polluters show up in their fossil fueled toys, and finery show up to get an Official CC Exemption Certificate. A free pass to pollute the world at will, just by mouthing the politically correct platitudes which insulates them from the consequences of their actions, like boycotts of their products, candlelight vigils outside their Corporate Offices, private Mansions, private yacht marinas and favorite gourmet restaurants. And of course the Celebrities which rely on a doting public to buy their books and latest Hollywood movies. Conferences, and their less important cousins, weekly Board Meetings, are events where everybody gets to speak, and nobody listens, (unless there's a camera on them). Of course, such high end hubris, has its own inevitable consequences and potential for becoming a farce. This one is no different. The inexplicable hubris to hold such a Conference in the Lions Den of Fossil Fuel Producers, Dubai, defies logic, and so we find their own hand picked Climate Conference President telling his now captive audience the "there's no science behind" their Net Zero costly goals, and pursuit of such nonsense, "Could take the world back to caves" And the celebs got another rebuke from Mother Nature, when she grounded their private jets in Munich due to ice and snow! And we still have another week to go! π
-
2 pointsYes, I agree with that, religion has always been a very convenient way of leading and controlling the masses and reaches those who are, in general, wanting to be led.
-
2 pointsI post my own opinions on the topics of the day. Issues like climate change, wars in Europe, the Middle East and potentially South East Asia affect everyone on the planet, not just the telly watchers and Sainsbury shoppers, in some backwater town in Northern England, where I actually was born and partially raised. I post to see what reactionary reactions I get from the luddites here. Sometimes I get thoughtful responses, but in the main I get personal insults, from folks like you! Long on criticism, short on topic content. I find it all informative, and it confirms my view that the world is in a mess because of small minded folks who prefer to live their lives with hate, blame and criticism, rather than civilized respect, personal accountability, and making your lives better, by opening your minds to better ideas. Some people seem enjoy the inevitable wars, economic chaos of the status quo! Makes them feel like they are not the only malcontents and losers in the world. Human nature!

2 pointsHow can anything be passed, they haven't submitted a planning application yet.
-
2 pointsAs soon as some pleb on drugs without a license or insurance crashes a car and killβs themselves they are immediately elevated to top lad and legend then at the funeral all their mates rum amok on quad bikes etc speeding through red lights to show their respect.
-
2 pointsItβs like those you hear about who are basically responsible for their own death but then someone starts a go fund me page . βTop lad β β liked a laugh β β loved his cars β

2 pointsAw thanks mate. But, we all have our part to play. Let's get away from the personal attacks, which all come one way by the way and concentrate on our respective clubs. I understand that as the Senior Club in the area we're open to attack from all sides, I can live with that, the personal stuff? Not so much, really can't understand why they resort to it.
-
2 pointsSlowly heading towards the American idea of suing anyone for anything.

1 pointI have to smile at some of your posts...sometimes. I don't know if you know but buses are equipped with the same type of wheels and brakes as 44 tonne lorries, but if the road surface is covered in snow or ice the vehicle can become immobile or even dangerous especially on hills similar to what we have around Sheffield. I think you will find that there are people on here who have walked to work many more times than you, a lot further distance, in worse weather, done a hard day's work and then walked back home ,but don't need to make an issue out of it. When buses get stopped due to weather it's no use posting "buses were running to the University " that's completely useless for people who don't need to use that route. It is rare that there are no buses running at all, but if they are not running where someone needs them...they are not running.

1 pointI would have moved even if it meant me going through the red light, then deal with what happens later.
-
1 pointI'd expect policemen and nurses etc to have the naus to get up a little earlier and walk to their local bus stop. Employers and employees should both take the ability to get to work in adverse weather in to consideration when deciding if someone is suitable for the role.

1 pointI don't think society will be grinding to halt if a few people can't get their car out for a few days either. In any case, it's not either/or is it?
-
1 pointIt said on politics this lunch time if we get the go ahead with Rewanda we will only be allowed 100 people per year ,,and Tobias Elwood did not contest that, What a waste off money Share holders making millions out off crap going into our rivers Water Gas Electricity Transport yes trains and buses all private All a mess Brexit what great deals have we had out off that Mortgages sky high,Not enough houses being built , Rents sky high Six months and you area trades man Never ,Nurses we want50 thousand where from . Junior doctors going abroad Starmer not my first choice , But please no more off this we are heading for bankruptcy.

1 pointI find it odd that this duo, who did great for us but then left complaining that no money was available when we had injuries after promotion should even consider coming back when Hecky has faced the same problems, and again no money was forthcoming.
-
1 pointI thought an interesting debate was being raised here, and then I got to the last line and my jaw hit the floor. Incredible that you would use the death of a child to basically carry-on whingeing about temporary traffic lights. And then have the audacity to claim "**** happens" in the face of fatal accidents, when you get yourself so wound up about having to wait a few minutes at a red light.
-
1 pointAbsolutely If im going to a new country I would respect their views or I would leave It's illegal to practice any other religion in Saudi and there are no churches or temples allowed It's their country and I respect their laws so I probably wouldn't go there Why should the UK be any different What's is wrong with national identity People are coming to the UK and then trying to change it

1 pointCareful, you'll be called all the names under the sun, by your clapping seal pal, Orgy. Hope you didn't booze, too! He's not a fan! But there are travelers and travelers. Some complain about the food, the service and stalk the wild territories, in a search for a Mcdonalds, or a cafe that makes fish and chips, just like home. And serves Watney's Red Barrel! And kid themselves that that "nice waiter we met", was some sort of cultural exchange! π

1 pointRest In Peace Marcia Grant. It's a sad loss of life for her and must be tortuous for her family. Condolences to all. The sentence is shocking. This means he will be out in time for his GCSEs!
-
1 pointThe High Street area is an absolute disgrace. They have made a real mess of the area outside McDonald's, rubbish and suspicious stains all over the floor and the 120 bus stop is just as bad (from the hobos, not passengers). It's filthy and shows they have no respect. For the High Street to be like this, shows Sheffield in a bad (but realistic) light.

1 pointIt seems I am not on my own then. Good description of his offerings, by the way. As a rule, I tend to ignore trastricks's crazy ramblings as not being worth replying to, and leave him to his sweeping up.

1 pointI don't remember all the building sites having impenetrable fences round them when I was growing up in the 1970s. Why not ? That's because back then people were expected to take responsibility for their own actions..... That's the bottom line for me. It is only an "open and shut case" because we live in a crazy world, and a world that is becoming more and more crazy every year. See my post above. I don't agree. If the lad was on the moors and fell down a crevice or off a cliff, whose fault would that be ? Why is it any different ? See my answer above.....

1 pointCan only imagine the disappointment when they never fall for your logically ridiculous, fact free, made up in your head shtick. π€£

1 pointExactly the same a few years ago with the even younger lad in Barnsley. Great idea perhaps we could also have Looting, shootings, smoking cannabis and riots π₯΄ God Bless America π³οΈ. Itβs like those you hear about who are basically responsible for their own death but then someone starts a go fund me page . βTop lad β β liked a laugh β β loved his cars β The 'go-fund-me' worked well for the Top lad in our village (fully insured responsible motorcyclist) who died because an ambulance decided to turn in front of him. Rest in peace S. Played on the roof of Landsdown Maisonettes when they were being built probably where I got my head for heights π "It's a different world up there Mary Poppins". Keep safe out there.. Rocker π§

1 pointI guess you are unaware that the government and the industry are all working to get rid of diesel traction on the railways. where electric is not an option then battery power or perhaps even hydrogen are the favoured options at the moment

1 pointI certainly recall some of my -11 childhood where we would explore stuff, that is how we learnt, I did some daft stuff, but survived. We had some sort of wood wholesaler that was local, my memory is not too clear.
-
1 pointTragedy. But yes, nobody takes responsibility any more, it's always someone else's fault, especially if they can sue and get some money.
-
1 pointI cannot put into words what should happen to these when caught .
