I would hope so! But that has nothing to do with Pakistan's problem. Which is they choose to spend their money on their Arsenal of Nuclear weapons, rather than flood control. They are just happy blaming "climate change" and knowing that there are more than enough sympathizers in the "prosperous" West, who will help them out with their recurring flood damages. It's almost a conflict of interest. The more flood death and destruction, the more Western aid! The more money in the pockets of the local politicians.

You hung in there, buddy. Turns out a lot of folks are laughing in retrospect about such as the crazy pub mask mandates, "walking in, standing up or sitting down". Even wearing them on a lone walk on the moors, or in a park. And the effectiveness of those dirty cheap paper rags that they fished out of their handbags, back pockets, and even off the floor when they saw the sign, "Mask Required to Enter". You got raked over the coals with some nasty personal insults, from the usual suspects, for your views. Ironically, some called folks who questioned the mandated mask policies, "Trump supporters".

Bad night tonight, went to bed at 9pm, almost 5hrs of coughing and sneezing, tossing and turning, not slept a wink... I was really getting fed up of this caper... Then I came up with one of my famous Brainwaves... Get down stairs, log on to the Forum, and have a read of "Diary of a Techie Dinosaur" I've managed 3 pages, and my eyelids are beginning to droop. Back to bed now, see if that does the trick.. Good night or should it be Good morning.

A old Ford Escort has sold for £600,000 to some rich guy at auction today , The reason it seems is that a member of the Royals once owned it and actually drove it around in the 80's . Meanwhile In Pakistan today whole areas have been wiped out by floods , the people who lived in the tumble down housing already had nothing and now have even less , In Somalia people are starving due to no rain for almost two years so no crops , no food, no hope , Our own Country has people depending on food banks so as to be able to eat a meal , people are living on the streets , Working people on low wages are wondering how they are going to survive. the coming winter due to the cost of energy and travel . Meanwhile some rich people are patting each other on the back because they have bought an old Ford escort once owned by other rich people . Life Stinks .

It's a terrible shame that Putin is undoing a great deal of what Gorbachev achieved in his remarkable life. RIP.

Lockdowns will cause more death and health issues than the virus ever could, I stated back in this thread ages ago that the crux of cancer treatment is early detection, these policies were a disaster.

Certainly is. Surprised how poor Reading were. We should have been 3 up before half-time. Reading not even one shot on target. Nice double Anel. Rammed the first one home.

Absolutely correct, but consistent with the short termist 'penny wise pound foolish' approach to the economy of some right wingers. Indeed, look at this: Who are 'the we?' The disabled? Those with cancer or recovering from cancer? Those with certain neurological conditions who will suffer the cold most? Those in living in damp houses? Like those with these pre-payment meters, it's the worst off who will suffer the most. However look at where that selfish world view has brought us, and it's worth repeating:

As long as the second string is picked it can only be a good thing. A chance for a run out that’s not a meaningless practice game. I think we’d all be better off if they brought back the Central League.

For me 1. Napoli Centro 2. Proove 3. Paesani All very nice indeed and almost as good as some of the best in the world in Napoli. Not tried Rudys yet as when we've tried they've not been accepting walk-ins due to staffing issues. Don't understand why people pay the ridiculous prices for Domino's rubbish...

The person I believe who was responsible for Diana’s death was the drunk driver Henri Paul driving 70 miles an hour down the Alma tunnel in Paris.

Free movement was ended for Brits reciprocally. No more studying, student jobs, proper jobs, enterprising, retirement <etc> in the EU. I’ve lost track of the number of times Parliament was denied any meaningful debate on new legislation in the past 2-3 years. What was it for the WA, about an hour allowed? Or was that the TCA? Ah, yes, the Supreme Justices…who could forget these ‘Enemies of the People’, as the red tops called them, eh? https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/nov/04/enemies-of-the-people-british-newspapers-react-judges-brexit-ruling Actually Brexit made that easier, since the UK lost access to EU criminal databases. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-56529359 Precisely. That list of ‘benefits’ is just another list of lies, misrepresentations and factless or wishful thinking. It’s PR powder to the eyes of the ever-fewer believers.

I was always a AVG fan and never had problems, but today Windows Defender that comes with your system works at least as well, but integrates with your Windows OS much better, to the point where you don't know it's even running. The main thing is to only have one antivirus program on your system. They tend to conflict, and can shut you out of some of some websites. You can always run a third party malware program from the web, like Malaware if you've stumbled across an iffy web site. Another thing to check is if your defrag/optimzer is running on auto when you are using the PC. This can slow you down too. Change it from auto to manual, and remember to start it occasionally. Our networked computers use a lot of links and programs, so 3 to 5 years is the max we can expext from them, but a home laptop used just for email and browsing can last a lot longer, with regular maintenance. And here's something that Obama's. IRS, FBI, and State Department didn't seem to know, or understand, or learn. Back up every important file you have, to an external source, a DVD, or today, the Cloud. There's absolutely no reason to lose stuff because a device crashes, or is wiped. We are an insurance company, and are legally required to have off site backups available by our main underwriters. We, and I personally, have a backup copy of every piece of correspondence we have sent, or received, since the mid 80s. The excuse that hard drive crashes occur with no backups (Lois Lerner IRS) is a crock, and IT folks know it!

the first one on the list : ending free movement (i don't see any benefit to this? - this is even causing us loads of problems) #2 : Restored democratic control over our lawmaking (we never lost it) #3 : Restored the UK Supreme Court as the final arbiter of the law that applies in the UK (it always was) #4 : Made it tougher for EU criminals to enter the UK (we could have done this at any time) etc.

Just about everybody I know in DR, Canada, and the UK. has now had COVID or at least tested positive, some for the second time. Regardless of boosters. Even our erstwhile pro-vacc heros, Biden, Kamala and Dr, Jill. It's run it's course and its lethality is waning fast. Less chance of dying from COVID today than from flue, some reports. It's not the end of pandemics, just this one!

There are actually several different reasons your webpages could be loading slow... It could be from something as simple as your HDD is almost full, to hardware issues, but let's not jump the gun Firstly, try to disable any plugins/extensions that may be on your web browser... Also, don't run CCleaner, you can break things with that unless you know what you're doing... but You can clean out temporary files etc using "Window Disk Cleanup" Just, click START and start typing "Disk-Cleanup" and it'll show... click "Cleanup System files" go through the list tick things to remove, and click ok.. Once you have done this, reboot and see how it is, and report back, we can advise further if it's needed

City centre living is the norm on the continent - hence they have a mixture of stores, shops, restaurants, bars etc with flats above them. Stayed in one in Dijon a couple of times on the main shopping street - yup, very vibrant.
