The Consequences of Brexit [part 5] Read 1st post before posting

You really are a fine example of this modern, fake news, upside down world!

Someone expressing a desire to let people vote on an issue is accused of showing contempt for democracy, however somebody desperately trying to prevent the people from voting is portraying themself as a champion of democracy.

Donald Trump would be proud of you!

The people have already decided that we wish to Leave the EU. We must respect the result of the referendum and Leave. Holding another referendum to reverse the decision of the June 2016 vote, without even implementing the result, is simply contempt for the democratic process.

I support Len McCluskey and the Unite union in respecting the will of the people and the implementation of the democratic outcome of the June 2016 vote.

If “ The People” now feel that any of the many touted forms of Brexit offer a worse outlook than Remain does then “The People” have every right to insist on accepting the status quo for the foreseeable future.

We “The People” will tell May,McCluskey,Johnson,Farage and all those pursuing their own agendas ,what we want.

Democracy is not always straightforward.

1951 saw the Conservative Party win 48% of the vote to 48.8% for Labour. Yet there was a Conservative majority.

Yes, and 25% of them voted to leave which was less than 40% of the electorate. That is why the whole thing is such a mess because there is no popular support for it.

I know it and so do you which is why you

are so desperate to avoid another vote! :hihi:

There can be nothing more straightforward than a referendum result. The winner is the choice which gets the most votes and also has a percentage of more than 50%

The people have already made their decision regarding our membership of the EU. We voted to Leave.

I know it and so do you, which is why you are so desperate to force us to vote again and change the result. You are going against the clear wishes of the General Secretary of our second largest trade union, Unite, which donates more to the Labour Party than any other organisation.

Are you working for the bosses?

The majority of Labour Party members want a second vote. On channel 4 news right now.
