Her interpretation led to the Chequers proposal, that has been rejected by a huge swathe of her party and crucially also by the EU

 

Her plan is dead. Her only alternative is no deal. And that will be an economic catastrophe. As I’ve said before many times the economy is the key factor. When people get hit in the pocket, when their services are taken away, when their pensions fall or aren’t paid on time, when they lose their houses, lose their jobs, see their kids on the dole etc... etc... that is when it is going to hit Home what a terrible mistake this is.

 

You can’t absolve yourself from blame by falsely claiming to have voted remain, or with your stuck record fatally flawed mantra about the democratic people, whoever they are.

What dole? A weaker economy also means less welfare as well as less jobs, services, housing etc,

That is an interesting point. The Hungarian president knows the EU also want to punish Hungary because they have attempted to stand up to the EU regarding the migrant crisis. France, Germany and the UK are the biggest contributors to the EU budget so both France and Germany know that most likely they will end up contributing much more sooner or later after BREXIT. The likelihood of the EU collapsing is much greater, if the UK do really leave the EU. However, it has to be said that it has been reported the Hungarian president was very quiet at Salzburg.

Do I think the EU have bent over backwards for us? No.

 

They have been clear about our choices from before the referendum.

 

Stay, no deal, something like Canada, something like Norway.

 

Those are the only choices that maintain the integrity of the EU.

 

I don't think they *should* bend over backwards for us. This is our own stupid choice.

The EU simply has very little latitude.

 

It has the needs of the other 27 states to consider, plus four freedoms that can’t be compromised on.

 

A50 set out the rules for the process. The EU has simply adhered to them.

The EU won’t collapse.

 

You seem to be behind the times. Even the hardest Brexiters gave up on that myth two years ago after it served its purpose in the referendum campaign

Because he is butt hurt that the EU has stood up to his appalling treatment of migrants and his attempts to ride roughshod over political opposition.

Let's take a look at the big picture, amazingly Brexit isn't the only issue in Europe, increasing anti-democratic Orban (Hungarian prime minister) is creating havoc and is about to receive a very, very cold shower from the EU. In fact, the EU will punish the Hungarian government.

 

So what does Orban do? Paint the EU, Germany and France in particular, as big bad bullies. He is playing to his home crowd and doesn't care one iota for fact or indeed the UK.

 

The 'risk of the EU collapsing' is about as great as me not having a pint later.

 

The risk of the UK collapsing is significant however. There are distinct indicators of inflation going up, the pound isn't rallying along with the inflation, so everything is going to get more and more expensive. I give it two years before Britain isn't just the moronic kid in the corner, but it is indeed crying out for the EU to reach out and safe it. Which parts of the UK those will be is up to the most incompetent government since Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela.

Planes will still fly. Trains will still run, Trucks will still deliver their loads and the Remoaners will still be able to visit their promised lands over the waters and into their Paradise that is all places under EU rule.

 

I have faith in the UK to thrive after kicking the corrupt EU into touch, despite the wailing and hand wringing of the undemocratic Remoaners.

Given that not one leave supporter has presented any credible forecast that leaving will be anything but economically very damaging, I guess that he is basing it on wishful thinking.
