I was driving along and some guy passed me the other day..he was on his phone whilst driving ...disgraceful... I was so disgusted I nearly spilt my coffee and almost dropped my fag as well.

Can't believe it went ahead given the weather. Got a tram afterwards in to town and eventually got home about 12.30 courtesy of a black cab which managed to get us to Woodseats.

Years ago it used to be called The Compleat Angler, prior to that used to be called the Black Swan...affectionately called the Mucky Duck.
Hope that helps

They're like kids squabbling in the playground, they want their heads knocking together..it might knock some common sense in to them.
Although I doubt it.
I'm no fan of the Lib Dems, but if it was a Labour Council they would probably try to sell it off or build something in its place like a Hospice perhaps.

No need for under road heating...just boil a kettle and fill the pot holes with hot water....hey presto no frozen roads. No need for Mr Betts and his crackpot costly ideas.

Courtesy of the Two Ronnies,
Did you hear about the Clairvoyant who married a Contortionist ?
They had a son who could foresee his own end.

I have to agree, and just to make it clear my gripe is not with St Lukes, but with the old council regime. I lost my father to cancer over a year ago, lets not forget what and why St Lukes are here. By the sound of things the proposed new site sounds fantastic, a place we should be proud of.
I also remember being told by a certain ex council leader that no application to buy the land at Graves Park had been received...clearly not the case as per the document on the council web site as item 3.6 clearly states
3.6 The hospice had made an application to the Council to purchase the current Street Force/Parks Nurseries Depot at Norton. This however has proved an extremely controversial and divisive proposal and consequently officers were instructed to work with theTrustees to try and come up with an alternative site which could be supported by the majority of Sheffield citizens.

You are more than welcome to join in the discussions as a Graves park user of over 30 years, but please excuse mine and many peoples suspicions regarding Graves Park, when in the week a certain individual is placed on gardening leave at a certain hospice that had ideas about building in Graves Park..this subject is again in the news...and we have a recently joined member to this forum asking about Graves park.
Now I'm not suggesting for one minute that the two are conected.
Cheers
