Dogs without leads in public parks
Starbuck1 replied to Starbuck1's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Really? what does "I've yet been to a park" mean? I assume you mean "You're" at the beginning of the post and you don't seem to be very good at reading either since it has already been mentioned that I'm not a man. Talk about naming and shaming moron dog owners! Event Horizon just put himself top of that list. well done. -

The dog didn't attack me or my child, it did run close to us so I didn't know what he wanted to do. I just stopped sledging until the man with the dog will pass us but he stopped and played on the spot where I was sledging throwing ball for his dog next to us like on purpose. -

There was no mention of a phobia or being a man in the OP. The OP does say however that the dog was running up and down the hill that we were sledging on which is significant interferance since we were trying to sledge on this hill. -

Sounds more like you have a problem more than I do. An attitude problem! It's people like you who give dog owners the bad reputation. I'm not interested in socializing with your dogs or anyone elses dogs and as for your response to being asked to keep your dogs under control, you are clearly a selfish person who does not respect other people and therefore does not qualify as a good dog owner. In the future, if you don't like the thread maybe you should just move on instead of posting dumb responses which do not help in any way. -

I asked polite. If he can take dog on the lead and told him why. But he said no and turn his back. -
Hi I went sledging today with my little boy to graves park in woodseats. While we were sledging a man came with 2 boys and big dog without lead. The dog was running up and down the hill so I stopped sledging as I am not happy about dogs being loose around children,I was once attacked on a sledge when I was young. When I told the man to put dog on lead he told me that is free space for everybody and his dog is learning socialising with people/kids. I was shocked that he didn't care about other people around, so left the hill and went to the playground, a closed area for kids to play where I found another dog without lead. What should I do next time to make sure that the dog owner does not ignore me being afraid of dog around me or my baby.
