  1. If he's got rid of all his staff, then he won't need to claim expenses for them. Or have I misunderstood the concept of fraud?
  2. Is one of your planks going to be the lack of nursery places in the area? If so, don't bother with this when you visit the local care homes. Do you have any supporters? If so, tell them what you want: "We need better nursery provision." Then: And then email this into your chosen local media.
  3. Get someone to check the spelling on it. How many will be helping you? What local issues are important? What was the turnout like last time - how many votes will you need?
  4. http://scarboroughsmaritimeheritage.org.uk/article.php?article=213 suggests you might be entertained for a time.
  5. If Chris Grayling is going to be his new driver, he's going to want his licence back ASAP.
  6. Maybe there was some restriction in the paperwork which prevented it being used as a supermarket, but nothing to stop it being razed to the ground and rebuilt in another configuration.
  7. The Star headline: Sheffield Wednesday fan column: The Club 1876 scheme is a hard sell for Owls owner Dejphon Chansiri
  8. It's not just London clubs that would be a trek. How about the trip from Aberdeen to Plymouth? Leave Aberdeen at 16.00 on the Friday, overnight at Birmingham, early train 07.21 to Plymouth. And the price ? A cool £244-40 - ONE WAY. You'd have to be really dedicated.

  13. I believe he took part in a recent debate in Westminster Hall on fracking: 31st October https://www.theyworkforyou.com/whall/?id=2018-10-31a.393.0&s=speaker%3A25636#g403.1 It would be in his interests to stand for re-election come the next election. I don't claim to be one of his biggest fans.
  14. Yes, Football Clubs are entitled to close Public Rights of Way. However the situation is more complicated. Any road closures need local authority approval in advance and there is a cost implication. However the Police can close roads to traffic (as often happens in the case of accidents) and I believe they are responsible for closing roads (or part of roads) around football grounds. In this case, ignore the directions of an officer in uniform at your peril.
  15. Probably because the founder, Fanny Waterman, was born in Leeds and has connections there.
  16. Have you read: "Well-Known Fighter Pilot killed". The Times. 16 May 1950?

  18. I've seen Christmas cards depicting Bible stories, not necessarily Christmas related, e,g, Goliath saying "Tha's made me reight mad."
  19. What about supporters who are in hospital? Are they able to get any commentary?
