Pubs Offering Take Out Or Home Delivery - information thread
slh73 replied to Andy C's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Industry tap, Sidney Street - well stocked fridge for cans and bottles, and just started doing Growler fills and will have 2 pint cartons for takeaways by the weekend -
It's nearer 4 weeks it's been there, I pass it every day. Obvious it's not being moved by the amount of crap that's built up around the wheels that the rains washed down the road.

Boots at Heeley retail park dispensed my prescription today just fine

What difference would the cmos battery going flat make? If that will fix the problem (which I don't believe it will, but whatever), why not just take it apart and take it out, since you'll have to replace it when it dies anyway

I used to work up the hill at smithy Wood, we used to get sausage and bacon butties delivered from him on Friday morning. Shame he couldn't keep it up, his sausages were excellent

Cyclists Wearing All Black And Riding Black Bikes

Seen one myself tonight. Black bike, black clothes, black helmet, one small red rear reflector under his seat, no lights or anything else to make him visible. -
Is It Possible To Create New Pin Code On A Vcr?

5 minutes on Google suggests turning it off, then powering on and holding ch up and record together should remove the pin -

You can't take bikes on the tram -
Long shot, but if anyone's been to the Tesco on Abbeydale Road tonight and come out missing a handbag, I've just handed it in to the customer services counter.

If draft Guinness is their big selling point, they won't be there long, unfortunately. Surrounded by bars selling great beer, Guinness and carling aren't going to cut it

Car Crash At Meadowhead Today 25/10/2019
slh73 replied to bassett one's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Do they? Really? Only I use both the roundabout and Bocking Lane junction twice a day, and have done for the last 5 years, and the accident on Friday was the first one I've seen. -
You won't find it in the industry tap. No problem with an ipa at 6% plus, but no cask, just 21 kegs and a well stocked fridge
-
Tvs showing back to back episodes of Mrs browns boys and love Island 😂
-
Plenty of options available, 21 taps, 10 of which are lost Industry, the other 11 guests. When I was there Friday there were sours, saisons, a grisette, a lager, ipa (both west coast style and neipa), a black ipa, stouts and an imperial stout. Something for everyone
-
Went to the friends & family preview night last, went through about half the board (including the strong stout). Can see this becoming a regular spot.

You mean the blue stripe on the map here? The one thats quite clearly labelled 'Porter Brook' https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ward's+Brewery,+Ecclesall+Rd,+Sheffield+S11+8HG/@53.3722862,-1.4838935,18z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x4879827b657e5327:0xe2ec00d33245f751!8m2!3d53.3726191!4d-1.482138 The Sheaf goes nowhere near Ecclesall Road. it comes from the peak district, through Millhouses and Abbeydale, down to Heeley, and on into the City Center. The Porter Brook joins the Sheaf somewhere under Midland Station.
-
Opens to the public on 21st September
-
How would that be possible, it was nowhere near the Sheaf? The only stretch of water close to it is the porter Brook, that doesn't join the Sheaf until somewhere under the railway station.

Where on my PC do downloads from a supplier end up?
slh73 replied to woolyhead's topic in Computer & Tech Chat
They won't have sent it by email, it's far too big for an attachment. There's either a download link in the email with the key in, or they're expecting the op to download it direct from Microsoft and use the key to activate it
