  1. No it isn't. I pass it at 6am every day and the barriers are down
  2. A machine that allows a bar to put draught beer in a can to take away, then seals a lid with a ring pull on it. The name comes from a combo of can and growler. https://vinepair.com/articles/what-is-a-crowler-beer-history/ For some reason this post has been edited. Head of steam are selling crowlers. They may fill a growler if you take one in, but that's not what my post said originally
  3. Bath Hotel just started doing growlers, I'd guess other thornbridge pubs won't be far behind them
  4. A refillable glass or stainless Steel bottle with an airtight sealable lid. Head of steam have installed a crowler machine, so they can put any of their draught beers in a can to take away
  5. Not a pub, but archer Road beer stop have a couple of cask lines and cartons for take away, and loads of canned and bottled beer.
  6. Industry tap, Sidney Street - well stocked fridge for cans and bottles, and just started doing Growler fills and will have 2 pint cartons for takeaways by the weekend
  7. It's nearer 4 weeks it's been there, I pass it every day. Obvious it's not being moved by the amount of crap that's built up around the wheels that the rains washed down the road.
  8. Boots at Heeley retail park dispensed my prescription today just fine
  9. What difference would the cmos battery going flat make? If that will fix the problem (which I don't believe it will, but whatever), why not just take it apart and take it out, since you'll have to replace it when it dies anyway
  10. I used to work up the hill at smithy Wood, we used to get sausage and bacon butties delivered from him on Friday morning. Shame he couldn't keep it up, his sausages were excellent
  11. Seen one myself tonight. Black bike, black clothes, black helmet, one small red rear reflector under his seat, no lights or anything else to make him visible.
  12. 5 minutes on Google suggests turning it off, then powering on and holding ch up and record together should remove the pin
  13. Same here. 20 mins motorbike, half an hour car, hour and a half on the bus & train (assuming they turn up/run on time). I wouldnt use them if they were free
  14. Long shot, but if anyone's been to the Tesco on Abbeydale Road tonight and come out missing a handbag, I've just handed it in to the customer services counter.
  15. If draft Guinness is their big selling point, they won't be there long, unfortunately. Surrounded by bars selling great beer, Guinness and carling aren't going to cut it
  16. Do they? Really? Only I use both the roundabout and Bocking Lane junction twice a day, and have done for the last 5 years, and the accident on Friday was the first one I've seen.
  17. You won't find it in the industry tap. No problem with an ipa at 6% plus, but no cask, just 21 kegs and a well stocked fridge
  18. Tvs showing back to back episodes of Mrs browns boys and love Island 😂
  19. Plenty of options available, 21 taps, 10 of which are lost Industry, the other 11 guests. When I was there Friday there were sours, saisons, a grisette, a lager, ipa (both west coast style and neipa), a black ipa, stouts and an imperial stout. Something for everyone
  20. Went to the friends & family preview night last, went through about half the board (including the strong stout). Can see this becoming a regular spot.
  21. Taplist is now live on untappd. Looking good so far Industry Tap on Untappd http://untp.beer/MXwm2
  22. You mean the blue stripe on the map here? The one thats quite clearly labelled 'Porter Brook' https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ward's+Brewery,+Ecclesall+Rd,+Sheffield+S11+8HG/@53.3722862,-1.4838935,18z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x4879827b657e5327:0xe2ec00d33245f751!8m2!3d53.3726191!4d-1.482138 The Sheaf goes nowhere near Ecclesall Road. it comes from the peak district, through Millhouses and Abbeydale, down to Heeley, and on into the City Center. The Porter Brook joins the Sheaf somewhere under Midland Station.
