  8. Well, with respect crooksey, my Victorian Pitsmoor born grandmother WOULD have stepped into a Brightside and Carbrook shop, as most of B&C 's were in working class areas and priced accordingly, not like the other lot. Also, which Co_Op food is the article about, the one at Castle Street and Angel Street? Which i thought was gone anyway.
  9. I can only think of a few : David Herd (he of Manchester United and Arsenal), Alan Ball, Jimmy Greaves's son Danny made it-as a so-so mid-field player at Southend United Nigel Clough and Frank Lampard and Gary Megson, as well as Nigel Clough who was a very decent player at when at Liverpool.

  18. It suggests on that menu that the price is for two peopie . What I found interesting was the children's menu which says 'order by height', so if one is ordering by phone, do they have to 'fib' if they have 'tall for age' kids?
  19. Read on another site that the Big Gun pub in the Wicker is to close for good in September and the last surviving pub on that thouroughfare. Pity, as the place -at least mid- 1970s/80s- was one of the cleanest and well run places and great beer in that area.
  20. And who might that be, as only Peterborough are capable, the next below, them. Portsmouth, are out of it,
