Brayford coming home ?

How do you know we're not in the hunt for a striker? Maybe the £1.5M paid is just the tip of the iceberg. We're not going to rush into paying for players who might not fit out model. It's a little like you buying May. You've paid £850,000 (I've heard) for a striker who can't score... it doesn't make sense.

John Brayford is an established Championship player who would get into any team in the Championship. He's previously been at a club and witnessed growth. He's seen something special happening (probably) behind the scenes. He's had a taste of being at a club where the fans and club love him. He feels wanted... and sometimes... this overrides the fact that he's dropped down a league which will soon - enhance his career anyway.

It's a win win situation. We've got a magnificent player (who would walk into Sheffield Wednesday if they could afford him). And he'll enhance his career by being at one of the top clubs in the UK, who'll ultimately be in the PL anyway.

He's seen the light, he knows the futures bright because now he's a red and white.

Toppy fella. Your embarrassing yourself. Your the type of bloke who stabs his own mate in the back when he buys a better car than you. Jealousy is a nasty thing and it's making you think and say irrational things.

BTW. If you think simply responding to you is being wound up... well, then that says it all. You trying to wind up people, simply means your totally wound up yourself - hence your over compensating this.

I agree Tim. At least you acknowledge that some of your fans are obsessed. ;)

Do you bother to read posts before you start spouting, you say that I don't know that your not in the hunt for a striker hence my comment "that may still happen", what's that saying about engaging your brain before you speak, if Brayford could walk into any Championship team he would have done and wouldn't bother with a mid table L1 side.

Touched a nerve toppy haven't I.

One moment you said it was the management that wouldn't buy any players... then you changed your mind and said it was the fans that said it. Make your mind up toppy! lol

Let's talk semantics. When I say that one should not think that all owls are obsessed, does that mean I think some owls are obsessed, or does it mean mean that I refute the claim that all owls are obsessed?

I think a bit of both Tim. :hihi:

All meaning is in the context in which it was held.

It could mean that, but it could of course also mean that you accept that some Owls are obsessed, otherwise you should have said no Owls are obsessed, and remove all doubt as to your opinion.

Has anyone claimed that all Owls are obsessed, or are they just talking about the ones who can't seem to resist posting on threads referring to the Blades, like this one?

The fact that they are on this thread speaks volumes.

Not one as good as this one though.

If you say so,I haven't seem him play so can't comment but if he's better than anything we have I don't think he'd have dropped a league.

But we have a rarity here. He's put temporary ambition a side and has real sentiments about our club... which is rare in football today.

He's in a win win situation. He's playing for a club he genuinely loves who'll be in the PL anyway.

Mr Brayford is our future and he'll get better.

Not posted about Brayford in this thread yet because, frankly, I haven't got a clue about the lad. I don't care either. Don't think that all Owls are 'obsessed', I assure you that the majority couldn't care less who United sign.

Spoken as a true fan, at the moment United are in a "good place", there's no doubt that Sheffield football is notoriously up and down and Wednesdays turn will come when your new owners are announced but after last weeks shenanigans on here words like fools and liars have no place on the section.

Perhaps if everyone followed Tims lead it would lead to a lowering of animosity and of course blood pressure.

Apparently Brayford was watching the Blades at the QPR game and also the Preston game yesterday so he obviously feels some connection with the Squad and it stood out a mile last season how much he was enjoying the whole atmosphere at the lane. Nigel has always maintained that he wanted the right minded players at the club so the title of this post is bang on the button.
