  1. weak penalty missed by Ched 27 min, but better news .... Charlton are losing 0-1 on 33 min
  2. Huddersfield 0 Blades 0 (48 games since a 0-0 remember so maybe it's due) I hope I'm wrong of course and the Blades win. Wednesday 1 Stevenage 1 Charlton 2 MK Dons 0 An intriguing night in prospect
  3. Just been listening to some of my favourites by her. All The Man That I Need, Where Do Broken Hearts Go, Didn't We Almost Have It All, Greatest Love Of All and the one that shot her to stardom Saving All My Love For You. She left behind some terrific music.
  4. Most league games since a goalless draw A long run by United, but far from the the highest total as you can see below. 103 Peterborough United 89 Dagenham & Redbridge 47 Sheffield United 45 Southampton 44 Everton 43 Burton Albion 36 Crewe Alexandra 31 Tottenham Hotspur 31 Leeds United 31 Wycombe Wanderers
  5. Great news, now can we have Greg Halford back, that would be the icing on the cake.
  6. Normally I'd want us out of the cup at the earliest possible time when going for promotion. I'll always remember the 70/71 promotion season (showing my age there) when Blades lost 0-2 at Portsmouth in the FA Cup 3rd Round. United beat Portsmouth the following week (in the old Division 2) by the same score (Tudor & Currie) at Bramall Lane when it really mattered. This season though, at this level, I feel we're more than equipped to extend an already good cup run and if no bad injuries or more suspensions are sustained, it could help the run-in for automatic promotion. I know the epic 2002/2003 season ended in tears after the two great cup runs probably cost us dear eventually ,but I've a good feeling this time especially if we get BT fit and unleashed. Going for a 1-0 win by the way v Brum.
  7. 24 Charlton 54 +30 25 Sheffield United 50 +20 24 Sheffield Wed 49 +14 25 Huddersfield 47 +26 24 MK Dons 46 +23 25 Carlisle 41 +2

  9. I'm using Chrome 15.0.874.120 m with two handy extensions. Scroll To Top Button6.1.5 (useful when looking through a long list on ebay or maybe forums like this with a lot of posts) SmoothScroll1.0.6 which takes a little bit of adjusting at first but effective when you get it right.
  10. I found the football league review seen on Eastenders, it's from 1973/74 with TC & Woody on the cover. I seem to remember it was given away inside the matchday programme around the early seventies. http://www.footballprogs4sale.co.uk/ourshop/prod_1387332-197374-number-828-football-league-review.html here's another with Woody on the cover from 70/71 http://www.footballprogs4sale.co.uk/ourshop/prod_1388193-Football-League-Review-197071-no-519.html
  11. Commentary is on Midweek final score on freeview .. (you have to adjust the speaker icon arrows next to blue button menu in top right hand corner)
  12. Hello I've sent you a message. I'm always editing mp3s & audio files so I could easily do the job for you. Steve.
  13. I'm at Walkley. I've just done a rescan. BBC 1 for example is now on RF Channel 34 and signal strength is only 49% An hour ago BBC1 was on RF Channel 47 and signal strength was about 95 to 97% Challenge, which I watch a lot for the old game shows is now on RF Channel 45 and signal strength is now 62% (before it was on RF Channel 52 and about 82% signal strength) Hope this is only temporary and changes later on today. Will probably have to rescan again to get the new stronger signal. ITV 1 has disappeared altogether for some reason
  14. I only saw Alan Hodgkinson play at the end of his career around 1969 to 1970 so I can't say how good he was at his peak. Since then Tom McAllister (71-75) and Alan Kelly (92-99) are the best I have seen. I also liked Jim Brown (73-78 ) A tough one to call, but think I'll go for Hodgkinson.
  15. 26th December 1969 (old Division 2) Huddersfield 2 Blades 1 (Gil Reece) The attendance was 30.907. Huddersfield eventually finished as Champions on 60 pts going up with Blackpool and the Blades were 6th with 49 pts. Top of the table at the time (2 pts for a win then of course) Pl 25 Blackburn 33 pts Pl 26 Blades 32 pts Pl 24 Huddersfield 32 pts Pl 24 Cardiff 30 pts Pl 26 Leicester 30 pts Pl 25 QPR 29 pts Pl 25 Blackpool 29 pts
  16. I should have had a bet on the correct score. I'm glad to see the back of this season, one to forget if that's possible...
  17. United 3 Barnsley 0 Bristol Rovers 1 Wednesday 0
  18. Can't Buy Time - I took 66/1 this morning (currently 33/1) Quinz 14/1 just £1 each way on both.
