  1. 'Down Deep Inside' was always my favourite track by her, I also love her version of 'Macarthur Park' Coincidentally, both songs reached no.5 in the UK chart. I'll be listening to the the extended versions later.
  2. How fitting .... John Denver on BBC2 now A perfect ending to a difficult night.
  3. Great stuff, I'm really glad City have won the title. I've always had a soft spot for Man City and even felt a bit of a tingle when the third goal went in. As a Blades fan for over 44 years, it wasn't the same sensation as if United had scored a last minute winner of course, but not far off. I can't explain that Now for tomorrow night at Bramall Lane.

  5. I don't have too much confidence in the forward lineup, but feel one goal will settle it. Simonsen Lowton Collins Taylor Maguire Doyle Williamson McDonald Quinn Porter O'Halloran Howard Ertl Flynn Beattie Cresswell
  6. I predicted a defeat for United in this fixture recently and after today's stunning news regarding Ched Evans, that outcome seems even more likely now. However the Blades surely have enough collective talent in the squad to rally round and pull off a famous and crucial victory. I don't know if James Beattie is injured or just not match fit, but maybe now is the time for him to make a significant contribution to the Blades cause. Having said all that, I fear now that United will struggle if they go up as apart from James Beattie for maybe one more season (two at a push) and possibly Will Hoskins, I can't see from where the goals would come. As for Ched, I'm desperately saddened by today's outcome (though can you imagine how he must feel) and so should the majority of Blades fans. It goes without saying that without his impressive run of goals, United would have been languishing somewhere in mid-table.
  7. Blades keep their unusual ratio of goals and points up. 88 goals & 88 points now ... great stuff.
  8. I thought we would have got 4 or 5 today I'll settle for a four point lead though.
  9. Having had two heart attacks and two stents fitted three years ago, I wish him well. I can remember when he burst on to the football scene as a youngster in the early seventies, about 1970 or 71 I think it was.
  10. Blades have let Rochdale score for a change.

  12. 3-1 Lee Williamson with his 11th of the season Keith Edwards reckons there'll be more goals , he doesn't say...
  13. Belief. Motivation. Motivation, motivation, motivation! The three M's. That's what football is about. It's all about motivation. Peter Cook as spoof football manager Alan Latchley (about 1992/93) >
  14. I'm not too concerned about getting the scores correct as long as the Blades clinch second spot.

  16. Ryan Flynn has just come on for Quinn I should know but has Flynn been injured or just out of favour recently?
  17. Evans crossed to Ched who shot home from six yards but Cresswell claimed the goal
  18. Charlton down to ten with Hollands sent off after 30 minutes ... could be crucial. Spoke too soon, Mvoto also off for Oldham has evened things up.
