SpikeMac
Is it over? Is it safe to turn the TV and radio back on or do I need to wait another day? I'd hang on a bit if I were you. There's still the backlash to come. Once people stop feeling the need to be nice.
skinz
Is it over? Is it safe to turn the TV and radio back on or do I need to wait another day? Switch on..you're ok. I'd recommend a garland of garlic around yer neck though.
mikem8634
How does this fit in with her believing the State owed her a 10 mill + funeral? Quite... It is not a question of thinking the state owes you, as some incorrectly assume, it is a question of thinking that we, the state, society, us collectively have a responsibility to provide social security (in the true sense of the phrase). Although as it seems to have been Gordon Brown's idea it hardly matters. Perhaps he was paving the way for his own demise.
Manlinose
Although as it seems to have been Gordon Brown's idea it hardly matters. Perhaps he was paving the way for his own demise. perhaps he thought he was being respectful to a former prime minister or maybe he just thought that if you wished for something long enough and hard enough it might make it happen
harvey19
What a marvellous and respectful funeral. The route was lined with people showing their respect for a past leader of our country. Whether you agree with the policies of her governments or not it was a superb occasion.
