Do we have any Council employees on here who can actually tell us , on average, how much the machines are generating in turnover per week. Not what you forecast, hoped for or even dreamt up on the back of Woodbine packets, but what they are actually averaging. I'll wager a pound to a pinch of snuff that it will be over 5 years before the Council breaks-even on these P&D machines.

Miztasee, don't worry about anything. The only thing you're guilty of is being honest. You've sold a Cupra (which I understand to be a "nippy" vehicle) and by the sound of it (only my opinion) the buyer has caned it, overheated it and blown the head gasket him/herself. Yes it might have been down to a slightly furred up radiator or a weak mix of coolant that exacerbated the problem but if the vehicle was running fine when it left you and the buyer KNEW it was NOT brand new, and KNEW you were NOT offering a warranty, then as stated by earlier posters.....you've NOTHING to be worried about. Danny128 you'd best swot up on "motor vehicle mechanics".

1:No I'm not. My post does not say that. This is a thread relating to Millhouses Park so relates to the surrounding area for parking. I would have thought that would be an obvious observation !! Take Dobcroft Road (bottom end) as an example. Let's all park on there (both sides) because we refuse to pay for parking in the park, then stand back and watch the total chaos caused when a bus tries to get up the road whilst any vehicle tries to get down......and Dobcroft is one of the wider roads down there. SO MUCH FOR FORETHOUGHT BY THIS PAHETIC COUNCIL AND IT'S PLANNERS !!!! 2: No, please show where I did !

Paying to park in parks is wrong. Our beloved council has squandered hundreds of opportunities over the years to generate income from these public amenities. Whilst on the subject of parks lets look at the Millhouses Cafe. Under the council, run down and neglected. Under the current tennants, a little goldmine. Classic example of council inefficiency. So therefore it's easier to skank the public by inserting parking tarrifs.

You're contributing to reducing safe crossing areas yet you are so fit and healthy but continue to use your car.

I presume you mean by parking on the main road or even the side roads near parks where your vehicle could cause a safety hazard for kids in the area? As there will soon be so many vehicles parked on the roads that SAFE crossing spaces will BE LIMITED. Bit selfish if you ask me.

Get real !!! They,ve had loads spent on them. A lot of the improvents in Millhouses Park have been conducted by locals....voluntarily.

Who prepared the ground for concreting? Was it the same company ? If not I would say its down to poor preparation of the base allowing movement. i.e it's not been compacted well enough.
