Thanks Steve, would there be anything wrong in using a push fit valve after the bit of copper?

I've just bought a new bathroom sink. The tap tails are flexi type which screw into the tap body. The other end of the tails are standard compression type. Am I ok to connect these ends straight onto the existing push fit type pipes(possibly using a pipe insert) , using the but and olive supplies with the tap tails? Thanks
