Anyone know of a jam night / open mic night that happens on a Saturday, in Sheffield?

I can play guitar and bass, but not amazing on either. I've played in a few bands before and played plenty of gigs etc - and really miss it. Happy to play either bass or guitar; so looking for a drummer and bass/guitarist. Anyone fancy starting something up, nothing serious just for the fun of it? Influences / style? Well I'm game for pretty much anything, but my taste is anything rockier (not 'proper' indie) something along the lines of: Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab, QOTSA, Explosions In The Sky, Postal Service. . Great, thanks for the reply Synthpulse - you've given us something to think about. Just out of interest - are there any other areas close(ish) to the centre (maybe within 1-1.5 miles) you might recommend? Ideally, I'll like to be able to walk to the station (and catch a train to Leeds everyday), as I don't want to rely on another method of public transport. Thanks again.

Just wondered what peoples views are on Norfolk Park these days, have seen a house on Stafford Road (S2), but not familiar with the area. Obviously the main road near it wasn't nice; but uncertain if it's a 'bad' area. Also - while i'm here, we're looking to buy a house that's walking distance (15-20 min walk) to Sheffield station - any suggestions for other areas welcome..! Thanks in advance!
