Just finished 'A Child Called IT' Very very disturbing true life account of the abuse one child suffered at the hand of his mother while growing up until eventually the school took action and saved him. I thought it was a very good book until i got to the end which happened to be 3/4 of the way through the book. The rest of the book is just extracts promoting his follow up book.

Talented yes, but why is everyone on TV far enough up her backside to be able to clean her teeth? Her voice was nothing special when she sang live in my opinion.

I think it is unfair to place any blame on the moderators TBH. The mods can only act on what is within the rules. If we let ourselves rise to the baiting then we deserve a ban. The footballing trolls on here adapt and are, at times very good at what they do. They set out to rile the opposition fans and the moment we bite the report button is mashed to bits. The best we (genuine football fans who want to debate rather than cause friction), can do is work together to out these trolls and all their many sleeper accounts. They have the advantage because they aren't real supporters. What winds us up has no effect on them. Just don't rise to them and wait for them to hang themselves. Alternatively do what i have done and slap them on ignore. I've not had a single ban since placing 3 of them on ignore. RE: Corker... As i said last night in the deleted thread. I don't want to sound really cynical but could it be someone who knows you and has a grudge against you or a member of your family? It seems weird for a total stranger to have the gall to go claim a dog then try to kill it within a few minutes.

Just been in to do some shopping. Not that it worked very well. Half the shelves were empty! The small amount of shopping i managed is really good though. The quality of the fresh fruit and veg is very good. It seems to me that they are simply trying to fit a bit too much into the store. The premises are not really big enough to devote what must be an entire isle to kitchenware, magazines and CD/DVDs in my opinion. Maybe they will swap and change things round as time goes on. Either way it is a HUGE improvement over the old Netto.

If i remember rightly Vinnie was having a scrap with the big guys mate so the big guy bottled Vinnie and walked off. Vinnie was on the way to the toilet to clean his face up when he saw the big guy, at which point Vinnie explained in no uncertain terms that he was not very happy

I guess you haven't seen the video footage of his bar fight in America then. That guy was a man-mountain with 4 or 5 stone on Vinnie but that doesn't stop Vinnie giving him a good hiding.

Not going to post any spoilers yet but the one downside for me was 'why' this was all going on. I thought it would be something more sinister than that. On the whole though. A brilliant series.

He was the Sheffield United manager. On the day United were relegated a rather intoxicated Sean Bean burst in to Warnock's office in a rage. Warnock wasn't even there. It was his wife and kids and they were all in tears by the time Bean finished his rant. I have nothing against Bean but on the occasion above he behaved like a prat.

I thought Thor was a pretty good film. I took it as just that though, a film. I wasn't comparing it to anything else Thor related such as books and comics.

The sound on our old Trinitron has started to cut out at random points for no apparent reason. A good old bang to the side brings it back on again but this is obviously not ideal. Does anyone have an idea what it could be and easily fixable? I get the feeling i am going to have to buy a new TV but i don't have the money for one yet so a free/cheap fix would be ideal.

I don't live in one of the flats but as i understand it the satellite is only there to provide freeview or freesat. You would be better asking one of the residents though. They all seem friendly enough. [EDIT] Welcome to the estate btw. It is a great place these days
