  1. Scam, sorry. Where does Gumtree come in to it?
  2. I don't get this at all. All the stuff is from Booker. Aldi/Lidl sell stuff very close to, sometimes beneath, cost - and that's dealing with manufacturers directly. There is no margin to squeeze.
  3. Probably not. What's the domain (e.g. the domain here is sheffieldforum.co.uk)? Don't post anything after the /.
  4. Without commenting on the politics - if this change narks you then you can effectively claw at least the majority of it back by opening a Reward current account with NatWest - pay by Direct Debit and you'll get 3% back. There's a £3/month fee, but if you also move your gas/electric DDs, mobile DD, water DD, phone/broadband DDs (which also earn 3% cashback) you'll quite easily make that back under most circumstances. Having the account also means you're entitled to a fee refund on the linked credit card which earns 0.5% cashback on all spend boosted to 1% at supermarkets and certain other retailers. Not bad for an effectively no annual fee MasterCard.
  5. It's not exactly a long way over to the Wicker though...
  6. There are false fascias that cover the entirety of the machine. To me though, this sounds like the card had already been involved in some weird activity and the bank requested the card be retained.
  7. What was that? Awareness? Is there an 'awareness' issue over the cuts? I'm completely aware of them, I assume most people are. ---------- Post added 05-11-2013 at 20:52 ---------- I hear those concerns. They are valid and deserve to be answered. The problem is, I'm not sure anybody who was waiting for a bus passing the Peace Gardens at 5pm is in a position to change that.
  8. I think taxes should be raised, but that's completely besides the point, which is that I'm sympathetic to the cause but regardless of that what they did is wrong.
  9. Writing to congratulate those responsible for the anti-cuts protest outside City Hall today. The relatively small group moved to block the road just outside, causing all of the many buses that pass there at 5pm to be unable to move. I'm sure that course of action really affected those responsible for the cuts. Bravo.
  10. Yeah, I'd hope most of the normal rail (round the back of the station, on the flyover, most of the way to Meadowhall etc.) can be replaced in a series of overnight jobs. The crossings in these areas will probably need weekend closure. As for Fitzalan-Square - University... well I guess God knows but hopefully it wont be done all at once and it wont take as long as Park Grange did.
  11. The same reason the end of works was announced as: 1 week away on 20/10/13 2 weeks away (at least) on 25/10/13 then next week last Friday. In short, the thing has been managed by a load of plonkers.
  12. I thought the prices were alright, but I don't frequent Fultons. Seems weird that they left their checkouts and fittings in place - looks like a midnight flit!
  13. I see - why didn't they use the shop which they themselves vacated around the same time that one opened?
  14. Does anybody know what the story is with this place (in the old BK). Went by the other day and found the shop completely closed, lights off, shelves empty - but all fittings and signs in tact. They must have been open a maximum of 2 months, seems a bit early to throw in the towel? Also, the company appears to have absolutely no online presence...
