Transfers between suppliers do not happen instantly upon request. If Npower were the previous supplier the switch to EON would not have been done straight away and therefore the meter reading given for the date you moved in would not have been correct for the EON start read. Have you checked what date EON actually took over the supply and what start read they used? There may well be a period between when you moved in and when EON started supplying electricity when you were actually being supplied by Npower under a deemed contract. Where an actual read for the transfer date is not available an industry estimate is used which is agreed between both suppliers. This and the possibility that the previous occupier may not have provided an end read to Npower may mean that your billing is inaccurate. The first thing to do is contact Npower to confirm whether they believe the supply is still live with them and obtain the relevant billing dates and meter readings.

If your car isn't showing on the motor insurers' database and you insist that it is insured the police would contact the alleged insurer to check. They don't just impound your vehicle on the MID result. OP is having a rant over nothing.

What type of credit agreement is on the car? If the car is handed back to the finance company they would probably sell it at auction and apply the proceeds against the outstanding debt still leaving the OP with a balance to pay.

The Moto G has good specs and is great value for money. As has already been said for Facetime you need an iphone but if it's just video calling you're after you could use the Android Skype app.

I did take a 6cyl 525d for a test drive but didn't have it long enough to make a comparison with the 520d. It was fast but the 520d is no slouch. If you're going for a 520d I would recommend the auto gearbox otherwise you will be changing gears a lot. If you want manual go for 525d or above. I don't think the 525d is worth the extra money unless you're going for a manual. It would be a few thousand less to get the 520d and get the performance kit fitted if you feel it's not fast enough.

Yes it's 2 litre, no problems yet. For the current shape F10 5 series:- 520d 2l 4 cyl 525d 3l 6 cyl then from late 2011 2l 4 cyl twin turbo 530d 3l 6 cyl, same engine as the 6cyl 525d but more tuned 535d 3l 6 cyl twin turbo It is possible to have the M performance power kit fitted to the 520d by BMW dealers. This upgrades the ECU and intercooler and increases the performance close to that of the 4 cylinder 525d.

2011 520d auto, 30-35mpg urban, 50-55mpg motorway. I had a 2005 525d manual before that which did 21-24mpg urban and 36-40mpg motorway. Both cars have pretty much same bhp and performance. I thought that I would miss the 6 cylinder engine but can't really tell that the 520d is 4 cylinder except under hard acceleration.

No it wasn't you. The guy who fitted it doesn't seem to post on here anymore. He was working as a sole trader but now runs a limited company. If you come out you might be able to work out who it is as he has actually used pictures of my house on his old and current website! When I spoke to you about repairs when the roof got damaged last month you mentioned that I was too far away for you. Now that I've seen just how poor the job was it probably wasn't worth repairing anyway. I'm a few minutes away from Meadowhall, you're welcome to have a look if you want.
