I've been to a bunch of meets, nights out, parties, camping, walking. I've met a bunch of awesome people too.

They promised barrage balloons and a ring of lights. There were a number of people on a hill near Norfolk park to see the events taking place. We weren't expecting to hear the air raid siren (but were hoping to), but all we saw were two lights, not a 'ring of lights' as advertised. No barrage balloons, either.

They tried to charge me £40 for 6 chicken thigh fillets, so yeah- I've definitely noticed an increase.

Yeah, I've calmed down a bit now. I can't believe it has come to this over a pair of £20 boots. I can't work out how to report her from my phone, so I'll check it out on my computer at work, I've tried on the original query, but it won't allow a return mail. If I get the money refunded, it is definitely going to charity!

I've just had a very unpleasant experience on eBay and was wondering if it is a common occurance, or am I just unlucky? I bought a pair of boots and had them delivered to my office. They were advertised as 'worn once' They arrived at closing time on a Thursday and I just took one out of the box to try on. I noticed that it was obviously worn more than once, but that's what you get from buying on eBay, right?....right?? I put it back in the box and left them in the office. There are only 2 of us in the office, and the other person works shorter hours than me, so security isn't an issue. I'd bought a bunch of things, so I filled out all the feedback at the same time. With the boots, I simply wrote 'good' and left 3 stars for 'as described ' but I dint generally leave negative or neutral feedback. On Monday, I arrived at work, popped both boots on and found they were not just 'worn once', but they were pretty trashed snd the sole was coming off one. I contacted the seller straight away, but she became quite unfriendly about it and called me a liar. I opened a case with EBay and after seeing the photos, sided with me and provided a returns label. I've been receiving the nastiest, vile emails (through eBay) from her. She has told me she has many friends and family who know the business estate my office is on 'very well'. I actually feel quite threatened by her behaviour and what I take to ve veiled threats. Is this something that happens often, and am I overreacting about being concerned for my safety?

It's pretty quite in Paris this evening. Arrived via Eurostar a couple of hours ago and it seems like a lot of people are going about their daily business.

I know what you mean. Someone at our hotel in Istanbul was mugged, but explained to the muggers he needed money to get home, so negotiated with them how much he could spare, then they hailed a taxi for him..... I don't think the same courtesy would be extended by muggers in Sheffield.

Did anyone else notice that all his suits were a size too small?

Junction 35

Rant rant rant ! It has just taken me more than 2 hours to get home from Halifax. Between junction 42 and Junction 35 (inclusive) there were 4 detours off the M1 4 in 7 junctions! Booo. Sleep time now.

I Ayr at the Talbot in Dronfield last night. They have a brand new menu and thete were s loy of options marked as Gluten Free. Out meals were delicious.

I worked in an appliances shop in a village with a population of 3000 (if you included the caravan park and campsites). Good golly it was boring. No one ever came in. When it was sunny, I'd put a sign on the door and go to the beach - it was only 500 metres from the door..... And the average temperature in winter was 24 degrees. It wasn't such a bad life. As long as I can remember. I've had a reoccurring dream. One day (in the waking world) I was at a stadium with my sister and we went to use the facilities. As soon as I walked in, I recognised the place and stopped. My sister had also stopped and said that she'd dreamt of this place. I asked her if, in her dream the toilet stalls had doors on them. She said no, and there was no toilet paper and over flowing bowls. I couldn't believe that we had exactly the same dream. Next time we went to visit our mum, we brought it up and mum said SHE had exactly the same dream too! After I moved to the UK, I was at a party and a girl said she needed the loo, and walked out the front door. When she came back, I asked her why she!d left and she said she has 'bathroom issue's because of reoccurring dreams. I asked if they were the same (as mentioned above) and she said yes. Since then, I have encountered a number of people who have the same dream. Strange, huh?

I dreamt my sister shaved her head and got a tattoo of a pink/purple octopus in an underwater scene. It covered her full back, arms and head, which was OK, but a tentacle finished on her forehead I was appalled. My sister had a face tattoo - it made her look like a complete bogan.

Coverup question: I had a full day session about 3 weeks ago to get a coverup done. I'm absolutely delighted with the design and the quality however, about a week ago, someone who was looking at it spotted it was a coverup. The old tattoo is showing through. I sent pictures tot he studio, but they said it looked fine and if I wanted the area blackened, I could have that done. I don't want it blackened, but I want it to go away. Do you think the studio would charge me more for getting more work done, or do you think that as I paid for a cover-up, it should be covered? I don't want to ask the artist directly yet, because I don't want to fall out with him - I want more tattoos from him.

Here is another vote for Dunston Lodge. They have lots of dog lovers to fuss over your pooch. Mine would be there right now, if they had room. I've taken them to Moscar, I'll let you know how they liked it when I pick them up.

My local Avon rep did her homework. She found out the names of everyone in the neighbourhood and sent them personal invites to a series of Avon Parties she was hosting. Tbf she focused a lot more on the 'party' aspect, but I picked up a brochure, wrote my details on her list, ste a cupcake or two and have been buying regularly ever since.

People went off to have babies and chose not to come back People were fired and not replaced The office was relocated and people left because they didn't want to travel the extra distance, etc.

Ah, that what it must have been. I was cursing them due to a hangover. The sound seemed to go on for ever

Yeah, I'm a bit clueless. I didn't get to the top on merit, it's just that everyone else in my branch left. :-( (babies, office relocating too far away, Firings. .not because of me)
