Hope mine is sorted after the second visit ---------- Post added 17-04-2015 at 12:38 ---------- Absolutely fuming! After 2 1/2 days, they finally got back to me. They sent a technician out to look at my car, showed me the condition report from when it was collected and it had damages on it in roughly the same areas as on my car. I told them I have NEVER seen that report, although they pointed to my signature and asked if I'd signed it. Yes, I had signed it, but it didn't look anything like that when I'd signed it. Then I realized they had all 3 in the triplicate condition report - including the original!! The original had been changed AFTER I'd signed it. Now they are saying that because my signature is on the original, I'd signed to say that it was already there. I pointed out that there were other things that were put on the report after I'd signed and the response from the technician was 'no it wasn't. I rang the office to say I was displeased and their response was 'we have your signature, the report was filled out in front of you' no it wasn't 'Yes it was..................................' silence. I sent him away and am calling my insurance company. I'm going to be left with a car with numerous problems with it. -

My car was taken in for repairs after I was side swiped by another car. It has come back with more problems than it went in with. I'm not a happy bunny at the moment. -
Due to the Walkabout actively discouraging Australians commemorating national days and sporting events, some local Aussies are looking for a pub to spend our money in. ANZAC day is April 25th and 2015 will mark the 100th anniversary of the landing in Gallipoli. Requirements: Beer Wine Food Cable TV to watch ANZAC televised events and maybe some sports Maybe some Bundeburg rum. If there is a pub that can spare a corner for the few people in Sheffield interested in getting together, please reply.

Please if your cat/dog is near the end do the right thing.
Scozzie replied to hodgepig66's topic in Sheffield Pet Owners
If the cat had been around a bit, he knew what he was doing when he sat down on a busy road. Well done, Hodgepig, instead of dying alone and in pain, you showed him kindness in his last hours and let him die with dignity, instead of splattered across a road. -
I've never heard it called Mothering Sunday before. I thought my oh called Mother and Son day, meaning he could spend it with his mother, while I couldn't spend it with mine (RIP). I now realise he isn't as callous as I thought.

It looks like this article provides you with other contacts. Maybe you could get in touch and form a united front to make a really substantial case.

I can recommend Modern Jive. There is also a new class that has started on Monday nights at Hallows Golf Course in Dronfield. You'll need to Google that. Monday - Dronfield Tuesday and Thursday - Crookes. Great way to get fit quickly, plus benefit from different teachers.

She got up and sang a song about stumbling, then getting up and carrying on. Life imitating art. You can't buy publicity like that.

Neighbour left keys in front door
Scozzie replied to missflirtuk's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
If I was a woman living alone, who was having her house done up by a man and I lived in an area that was described as 'not exactly a nice area to leave the keys in the door, I would be looking in my bag right now to see if they were my keys. -
It sucks. It says it on the box.
-
We got this particular model because it is region free. It says so on the box and the guy in the store confirmef it. I told him specifically that I had zone 1, 2 and 4 dvds. Grrrrr
-
They are store bought dvds.
-
We bought a Sony BDP-S5200 blu ray. Because it supposedly plays multi-zone dvds. I've just tried region 1 and region 4 dvds, but they don't seem to be compatible. It just playes zone 2. I've checked the instructions and looked on line, and on YouTube, but all I can find is that it DOES play all regions, but not HOW to make it do so. I was hoping to watch a dvd tonight. Does anyone have any idea how to make it work?

Free Empire are absolutely amazing.

Thank you all for your advice. I appreciate it. Unfortunately, it will be 2 x trains + 1 x bus and almost 2 hours either way and almost the same in costs. Staying overnight, including breakfast and dinner will also be comparable. I'd rather the new starter be happy and comfortable, so if she wants to drive, she can. It she wants to stay, she can and if she wants to catch the train, then I will think there is something seriously wrong with her.

I'm hoping to get some serious advice about a new employee who will have to travel quite far every day for training in her own car. It will be 3 days a week for 4 weeks and they will be doing about 120 mile round trip. The HMRC recommends £0.45 a mile, but that will mean we will be paying £162.00 per week - that is more than I pay for fuel in a month! I think that is a bit over the top. My OH says his company pays £0.10 per mile. I've never paid or claimed it before, so I was wondering what the normal amount would be to pay? Any advice would be great. thanks

What do you pretend to like??
Scozzie replied to Simon T's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
I pretend to like my boyfriend. Really, it's Toad in the Hole. My oh absolutely loves it and cooks it all the time. I just don't get the concept. Just have bangers and mash, then add some veggies, not gloupy, mushy, yorkshire pudding wannabe gunk. -
Advice about buying in Sheffield please!
Scozzie replied to aliceBB's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
Hi Alice, you are probably better off looking in Hillsborough. If you read between the lines of all the previous posts, they are all saying you shouldn't buy in the GRIMesthorpe area. -
What snow antics made you smile today
Scozzie replied to nexusdee's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
My fella bought one of these gorgeous cars and the snow fell exactly one week later. It got stuck. Fortunately, I can work from home so he could take my car to work. -
I had to put the sub-titles on. I don't understand a thing they're saying.

I take enjoyable books I've read on holiday with me, so I can make use of book exchanges. Any medium for passing on books is a great idea as far as I'm concerned.
