  1. Huge luxury car owners don't buy them with their hearts, they buy them because they're the best possible solution to getting about and looking flash. So when the new one comes out, they chuck the old one which makes them huge bargains. For the same price of a fully loaded Focus you could have the previous generation Mercedes S class. 6 years old perhaps? That's epic value for money, but like you say when they go wrong, it's expensive.
  2. I think parents should know their kids enough to know if they're liable to be swayed by these sorts of things. When I was around 11 I asked my mother for the Marshall Mathers LP. Admittedly she didn't know who he was but this girl group is a lullaby in comparison. Thankfully my parents knew I wouldn't take it to heart enough to worry about it. Back then he was one of our 'role models' I guess if you want to paint the picture that way. Besides, I doubt the kids are even half bothered about taking in any of the lyrical content and more fussed about shouting ''SHOUT OUT TO MY EX'' as some sort of weird anthem. What I have noticed about music today is just how quickly it disappears. In two weeks time everyone will have forgot the song and there will be a new hit on the radio. Even when I was younger Britney Spears was still high in the charts for a couple of months, now it seems like when a new song comes out to replace the current 'hit' they delete the file (throw away the CD for you oldies )
  3. If you eat fast food enough for it be concerning to your health, reducing the portion isn't going to help THAT much. Not going to act all preachy, I'm not health guru far from it. Besides when I have takeaway food I kind of expect it to be a bit much.
  4. Have you been drinking the half price menu? Go to every single bar ever and they will have offers and promotions. What if I'm rich enough not to worry about the half price menu? can I drink irresponsibly since they haven't halved the price? It's up to the person to drink responsibly not the bar. When I was a student we often went to Leadmill and they sold bottles for 60p!
  5. I think you're far too worried or simply just going to the wrong places. I have never seen any trouble other than scuffles, and even that seems to happen rarely. I would suggest you switch up your location
  6. The i3 is your practical BMW. The i8 is their way of showing hybrid vehicles don't have to be boring and practical, that they can be comparable to their M models and fun to drive. No one out there is buying a LaFerrari, 918 or P1 for their fuel economy or practicality.
  7. While that happens. The main reason they're targeted is the same reason as the Land Rovers. They can be stripped quickly and easily without access to the inside.
  8. If someone is in the right lane and going under the limit, I will always undertake them while remaining in the limit if it's clear enough to do so. Always have done. If they were going 40 in the 50 or 70, just go past if they're refusing to move over and it's clear enough to do so. Everyone happy, no one road raged.
  9. So could they wear black armbands ? for example. I think with all the burning and stuff we've seen over the recent years and constant (real or not) accusations about people wanting to ban the poppy this that and the other, FIFA are probably just trying to keep it easy going. Although England and Scotland will both want to have them and show, so who really gives a balls?
  10. That is in fact incredibly helpful. Since I am the only one out of my circle of friends willing to do this, I find I often have to bend the truth or neglect to tell them the distances. If I tell them it's a pub crawl they're more likely to come
  11. Looking to do this at some point soon when I have a free weekend. Done a fair bit of walking around Derwent, Burbage etc, but fancy giving this a try. I'm sure some of you on here have done it, or stages of it, wondering what sort of terrain I will be experiencing. Done a bit of research and will expect woodland and some damp patches throughout, but will it get THAT muddy where I might need to prepare for? Thanks
  12. Take it to Samsung. Though I do think it's pricey.
  13. This may very well sound stupid, but have you looked under the bonnet for anything visual? Something very similar happened to my car one afternoon and I received a lovely on dash message saying 'Engine Malfunction' there was no power, revving the balls off it to get it moving. I dumped it up a side street and looked under the bonnet and the air induction pipe had come off. I assume the car sensed it and restricted the engine to stop further damage, anyway I was able to slide it back on and tighten the hose clip when I got to work. It sounds daft and obvious but sometimes a quick look works wonders.
  14. Never really understood why people either have a difficult time believing or completely dismiss the body bag 'rumor' to me it seems like a logical idea. Or perhaps it's a secret underground highly intelligent race of Meadowmoles that are controlling us in Meadowhall from the underground. Remember when you bought that sugarbowl from House of Fraser but you can't really figure out why?
  15. Look for laser cutting services. I've noticed these popping up online whereby you can send in a drawing and they can laser cut the component you need. Most of these places will have press brakes as well, so they can bend it to your required angle. You may have to supply the steel.
  16. I got madly hooked on Narcos, great to watch I recommend it as a must whenever my friends ask me. Stranger Things was very good and got quite the reception online I should see a second series in the pipeline I watched The Get Down I really enjoyed that, but it's centered a lot around music and the like, which I enjoyed, specially after all the binge watchy series these days are crime or SciFi it seems. I have been watching Hannibal lately, which I enjoy, but I don't find myself wanting to go back and watch more like I have with the previous 3. Depending on your humor, and I guess it's not like a series or such. Trailer Park Boys is pretty funny if you give it a chance (The first series is a bit meh) and for something totally silly and great to have on. I love 'Archer' but you do need a certain sense of humor to enjoy it.
  17. It was always going to happen. I mean they live their lives as public as possible so they can have these things. It's just unfortunate Kanye still makes music. However, if it is true, it's still a pretty terrible thing to happen, I mean everyone lives their life like a Kardashian it seems ''Look at my food'' ''#drinks with the friends'' ''Off to work, sigh'' ''If I'm quiet it means I'm strong and independent'' yawn yawn yawn. so these people are simply just able to make millions out of it, they don't necessarily deserve to be robbed at gun point for it. That said, I'm sure for 8 Million, Kanye will be good for it, so no worries.
  18. Despite being 25 I find dating sites and stuff to be almost a waste of time, despite it becoming increasingly popular, I guess I'm kind of old fashioned and not much of a fan of the prospect of meeting someone online. However if you're going to start using these things, Tinder more so, you're going to have to accept that a lot of guys on there are simply looking for hook ups and that's it. I have friends who do it, personally that's not for me, but hey. Whatever keeps them happy, and if the other person they meet wants the same thing, leave them to it. I'm not saying everyone on there are like that but you'll come across guys like that more often than not.
  19. Shall I let you in to a little secret *looks around* some people park on double yellows when nipping in to places and put their hazards on. Don't tell anyone though, they think people can't see them. Can I suggest alcohol or some hard drugs to perhaps cheer you up slightly? Or if those are a little ''too much'' perhaps just crack a smile, just once a week to begin with.
  20. Been on one, didn't particularly learn anything new, however they are a good way to stop speeders. I wouldn't particularly enjoy sitting there for another 4 hours. I think it's been over 3 years now as well. So.
  21. Ha, I've been before but it was after a night out, I was so hungover I would have eaten anything put in front of me. Shame.
  22. It's difficult to relate, not being gay, I mean no one ever protests that you're too hetro. However I would like to think most of the LGBT community are smart enough to just realize they're nutters. I imagine if I was told I was heading straight for hell because of my sexuality I'd generally respond with ''Aye alright'' and keep walkin'
  23. So this evening me and my friend got a little worse for wear. He lives in the center and I don't so I decided to flag a taxi home. Eventually after trying to find one I flag this one black cab, the proceeding journey was probably the best I've ever had. Me and the fella sat and had a chat about our misses's and that he liked being a driver for his living. among other things we chatted about a lot of other stuff. Taxi drivers get a very... very bad rep on here but this fella loved his job and enjoyed the people he met. This isn't the first time either, numerous times I've jumped in a taxi and had a good chat. Of course some drivers are rude, but there's nothing better than coming home with a driver that wants to drive you there. Mate if you are readin' this you will know who I am am, and you deserved your tip.
  24. A friend of mines boss's lock up is down where the 'Red Light' district is in Sheffield and whilst we could be down there working on something, they constantly ask you for 'business' and various drugs. They look terrible as said before they have obvious drug addictions and no real means of keeping clean and healthy. Personally I find it depressing to see, specially watching the same car driving around numerous times waiting for no one to be around so they can pull over. One of the girls was holding her coat one day and shouted over to us to ask ''can you tell I'm pregnant''
  25. A world of a lot of people unfamiliar with the internet, connected 24/7. Because I could easily write a 10 word sentence about anything and if connected with the right people it can be seen by millions within minutes. I flick through the news thing on my phone on my lunch every day. Each day there is a new ISIS article, millions of people share among Facebook which will influence everyone else. With enough conviction anyone can convince anyone something is terrible and we should all fear it. People should not let it affect them much but for many people, it does.
