  1. Try MK Services on Langsett Road - 0114 2326394, they look after all the hoovers in our school and are very reasonably priced.

    A-Z of TV Shows

    Chorlton and the Wheelies
  3. The Burberry factory used to be on the Mushroom roundabout in Rotherham opposite Asda.
  4. Quite right!!. If I remember correctly it was on Friday nights and starred Hywell Bennett.
  5. Hoover for us every time!! only owned 2 washers since 1989. The first one was second hand and lasted us 23 years and 2 kids. when it finally died 2 years ago we didn't hesitate in buying another one.
  6. I can't understand how it's gone from a worn out bush to a wanting new suspension arm. Unless its the main suspension strut/coil spring needs replacing then other parts like anti roll bar links, track rod ends, wish bone bushes only cost a few quid each and are simple to fit. Also i never take my car to MOT stsations that also do repairs.
  7. As your husband is over 41 he is entitled to 1.5 weeks pay for every year he's worked there. He's also entitled to one weeks notice for every year he's worked there. If the company cannot afford to pay the entitlement then the government pay. It takes about 8 weeks to sort out if the govenment pay out. Beware though, If the government pays and your husband registers for any benefits after he's made redundant ie. JSA or similar, whatever benefits are received will be deducted from your husbands redundancy payments.
  8. Let's be honest, if you could get away with doing an hours work for £300 would you turn it down?. This Lord hasn't broken any rules, he's just playing the system.
  9. Try Feathers and Flight 07532 204999, they came to our school and were brilliant.
  10. I never said the council had blocked development of Meadowhall or Crystal peaks. What I'm saying is unlike Leeds City council, Sheffield hasn't got the foresight to develop areas that may attract other businesses. you've got to speculate to accumulate. When you've got 4 big cities within 35 miles of each other (including Manchester & Nottingham) you've got to keep up or die a slow and painful death. Unless it's in the city Centre then SCC aren't interested.
  11. So, Leeds City council has given permission for the extension of the White Rose shopping Centre by upto 50%. Just another example of why Leeds is now streets ahead of Sheffield, not just developing the city centre but allowing expansion out of town. Sheffield Council take note!!
  12. It's funny how people will waste time and probably petrol/diesel chasing round trying to save a couple of quid on some chocolates.
  13. Who uses RM to ebay nowadays. Use a courier company like TNT, DPD, Hermes, Interlink, parcelforce, etc etc. Go online, get a price - they even pick it up from your house or place of work, and they're cheaper than RM. No queueing for me.
  14. If it's a cold feed only washing machine just turn the water off at the mains. Out of courtesy though put a stop end or something on the pipe so the next occupant doesn't get flooded out when they turn the water back on!!
  15. What about in the early 80's when Wheat Crunchies first appeared in our tuck shop. They were amazing, the tuck shop was always running out of them. They're still available today but just don't quite seem the same.
  16. Not even once a week. It's one of those things, kids aren't allowed chips cause they're deemed unhealthy, but most of them have some sort of sponge pudding with custard for afters:loopy:
  17. The kids aren't allowed chips nowadays. I just have salad and coleslaw with mine but it's still brill.
  18. My water rates are £50 p/m (10 months) - Bargain!!. fresh clean water whenever I want it, all the toilet waste flushed away dealt with. Maybe we could just go back to emptying buckets of S**t into the streets, I bet after a few days people would pay anything to get rid of it.
  19. Quite right!!. Cheese pie was my favourite in the 70's. When I started working in a school this year I couldn't believe my eyes - cheese pie still on the menu!! and it tastes exactly the same.
  20. When a world icon dies, all other news is put on the back burner. Remember when Diana Princess of wales was tragically killed in Paris, it was everywhere. However, how many people remember that Mother Theresa also died on the same day. Who rembers that media coverage.
  21. Just about every operation in a company has to have a risk assessment. If this young lady is locking up on her own then surely there's a risk, albeit from lone working / risk of attack etc.. Again I don't disagree with people who say it's a load of tosh, but i'm afraid it's the way it is nowadays.
  22. Well said You've hit the nail on the head.
