Wentworth Garden Centre

Recommended Posts

I cannot understand a post knocking a business for being successful , " overcrowded and busy " ,it's a problem most high streets would love.

The garden centre  have spent huge sums on providing plenty of car parking  and making the place visitor friendly. Yes you do pay a premium for good service, pleasant staff and mainly a good products.

If you just want cheap may I suggest stay in and shop online.

I have no ties to the garden centre

Another extension? They must be making some right brass. The last extension to the restaurant was only completed around 2011.

It's not an extension, it's a new freestanding building next to the pet store.

I agree with Ridgewalk  but I do love it here The food is always great and the cakes are lovely..  Nice  shops  to look around and buy stuff you dont need  and the gardens and grounds are nice too but the cafe is very noisy at peak times and unpleasant, it needs some cosying up. Maybe the extension will be like Chatsworth where you can have a nice quiet meal in the Carriages restaurant and be served  (at a price!)  or sit in the cafe with the hoards!

It’s  makes me laugh all this moaning about prices,

1.if you don’t like the price why did you buy it

2if it’s overcrowded,that tells you its good,

3 .its not kfc,it’s not McDonald’s  you’ll find them a lot cheaper.

4 what did you get with your jacket potato a filling, salad.not just a potato. ,

ps fish n chips at Tom kerridge restaurant,£35.95,now that is expensive.

Wentworth Garden Centre spent a few million quid about five years ago to remodel itself as a ‘day out’ rather than as simply a traditional garden centre. It was money well spent judging by the amount of people who go there.

It's a great place to go for kids, plenty of stuff for them to play on.

Probably could do with a few less old duffers huffing and puffing about the price of food, perhaps it's good if the OP doesn't return.

Went worth is expensive always has been but you are paying for the pleasure of being there, if you want a nice meal with quiet surroundings try Langlands Nursery up Loxley, use to be Rindgold Nursery, it’s not in the same league as Wentworth but it’s a nice cheaper place.
