gnvqsos
This report could help the council address the inequality in the city-I presume the people sniping are in the more affluent parts.
andygardener
SF should have its own Julie Dore section. I don't know much about the lass but she gets some hammer on here. Well she does bring it on herself. She has a million quid of our money. She claims riots will result from service cuts. Does she spend that money on services? No. She spunks it up the wall on reports about "fairness". Why? Because in her head you can't spend money on services that may have to be cut in the future, so it's best to just waste it. She is utterly useless, that's why she cops for so much stick.

Is the "spunking up the wall" expression a gardening term?I think the idea of colourful expression is to clarify not bemuse the readers.
andygardener
why is trying to make the city a fairer place a waste? Isn't this money also going to be spent over a 10 year period? 10 years, so 100K a year. £273 a day. Burngreave alone had £52 million chucked at it and the net result was an office block sold at a massive loss because it had en-suite drive by shootings so nobody dared rent it, some private houses having a makeover courtesy of the taxpayer and a load of gypsies turning up. The million quid might be better spent on stuff like this that Dore is cutting than a load of reports on "fairness" that help nobody.
Penistone999
And yet people continue to vote for them! The threads on here seem to demonstrate that a sizable chunk think it's total nonsense so hopefully that will translate into lost seats at the next round of elections. Do we have any this year? Frightening isnt it .
Jonny5
This City needs a seismic shift in the mentality of the people appointed to run it. Could they not have moved that money to the Man of Steel Project? As opposed to literally chucking it away in a (nother) futile vanity project? retep
Sheffield Dumping Ground would be more appropriate, and voted for by the majority.
LeMaquis
Frightening isnt it . Penistone West, the most affluent part of Barnsley (not saying much admittedly) also went Labour last year, to everyone's surprise. ---------- Post added 01-02-2013 at 09:31 ---------- Sheffield Dumping Ground would be more appropriate, and voted for by the majority. Yes, the majority gets to decide. That's democracy and not the lunatic fringe.
