  1. and why should a student not do this and be irresponsible and annoying. Plenty of time to be old and grumpy which to my way of thinking is the majority of us. Lost count of the number of impatient oldies who tut and make snide comments, too deaf to realise they are not whispering. This is what rude really is. In the pub last night were two middle age men turning the air blue with swearing and shouting rather than talking. Rackishly thin from a constant beer instead of food diet. Now these are the types that really ought to know better.
  2. recommend minor injuries if what you have can in any way be described as this. Waiting times are a lot less - its for the walking wounded so to speak
  3. from the roundabout with waitrose on, turn up the road that goes to the back of debenhams and atkinsons, then take the third exit on the next round about, then left at the lights and its the third road on the right.
  4. 4 hours no return on william street Broomhall which is just down from information commons
  5. you must have gone into the wrong post office. Many of them have the special photo booths that take the driving licence compliant photos... its a whole new industry.
  6. Ros on the end of Abbey Lane is quite good for the impossible to find logo less items.
  7. http://www.sheffield.nhs.uk/podiatry/resources/physioworksleaflet.pdf Get a doctors referral for the above
  8. most drycleaners prob not the supermarket ones though
  9. Avoid and find another route. Speed bumps can be smoothly negotiated if car is single occupancy but not with a passenger. It also depends on the suspension on your car, the expensive cars giving a smoother ride. Its not for speed that I avoid them, its comfort. A mechanic once said to me that it shortens the life of your headlights. No idea if this is true or not.
  10. Decathlon - I bought some from there a good while back, they have survived numerous holidays abroad - package holidays where they chuck them from the plane. Holidays where they have travelled on the roof rack and the time my husband suggested it was only a short walk from the train station to the hotel in paris.
  11. ukele - Anne Sheehan school of music but really I would let him play and encourage a love of music.
  12. The rooms on the top at Ponds Forge and the function room at Montgomery Theatre. Imagine the room at the end of the winter gardens could also be used.
  13. the OPs post reminds me of an old geezer I met many years ago when I did a cookery class. He did a driving job when he was in full employment but when he retired and then got bored he worked as a volunteer driver taking people to hospital, absolutely loved it.
  14. possibly the brew shop on the end of Abbey Lane Woodseats end. I would imagine they sell it for syphoning.
  15. I had a similiar response when I complained. I have a similar problem with green sacks, trouble is I cant really fill them to capacity as I need to be able to shift them. To be honest I usually give up and shove it in the black bin. They wont take away the green sacks if the are ripped or too heavy and you get a sticker on if you have too many even if your neighbour has none. fortunately we've not had enough rain recently for anything to grow madly but when I need to cut the hedges I will generate about 18 sacks which would take me 3 months to get collected. Fortunately I have a capacious black bin.
  16. I saw the sand yesterday, since they have made Mitchell one way have to drive up and round to drop everybody off. I thought surely they are not expecting a frost was really confused.
  17. As some one who runs through the cemetery from time to time I find gravestones facinating. There are huge memorials to some were the loved more in death than in life? There is one that says a token to remember my wife. It wonder why someone would choose those words.
  18. A fantastic but no doubt less than practical picnic basket is available in the millenium gardens. The sort of picnic basket that Yogi bear pillaged from or red riding hood swung as she scampered gaily through the forest.
  19. There is a sign on the shop on chapel walk telling you where they have gone. It says all staff moved to Toni and Guy ..
  20. crystal peaks market - seems to stock most schools.
  21. I think its S9 - Handsworth area that kept the green bins the trial in S8 was ended. I agree with the OP that the green sacks are unsightly and a bin would be immeasurably more convenient.
  22. Dunelm mill sells a few art materials, but powder paints are really stuff of children's toy shops. Early Learning used to sell before it changed its ethos as did Mothercare. Bit out of touch with good toy shops but the toy manufacturer galt used to sell so any playgroup etc with their catalogue could probably get for you.
  23. You probably want to search for places that do grouse or pheasant shooting. I know they do lots of this in Wales - its not really a sheffield city centre pursuit. Chatsworth have Deer and stuff, and certainly on their website they are often asking for volunteers - being a charity etc. No idea if this extends to the Deer as well but you could always ask.
