  1. They have lots of NHS Podiatrists (for some reason they dont call them chiropodists) based in the central health clinic in town. Think you can self refer. Mulberry Street - near Jumbos.
  2. Do you mean aluminium trays ... if so you can get them from Moor Bargains If you mean something more substantial, Abbotts on Abbeydale Road are helpful enough to tell you where would be good.
  3. Depends on the size of the dress and the material its made from and whether is a basic dress or something with a corset or frilly stuff. Depends if you take it to Morrisons or a specialist cleaner. Has stuff been spilled on it. Depends if the wedding has happened or if you have had a calamity prior to the wedding and you are trying to pass it off as if nothing has happened. Last time I had a coat dry cleaned it cost me £6 quid at Sainsburys.
  4. there was a shoppers creche on the top floor which I only used the once. To be honest it was easier just not to shop. I think they redeveloped it because it was a dive. It was a lot of space for not a lot of purpose.
  5. reboot your router, then your wireless device.
  6. Harrisons do this from DVD and I think they would probably do it for you. They have a machine in the window. No doubt they are not cheap but from what I have seen in the shop they have quality kit. Sainsbury's photo machines take DVDs but they are not cheap but its everything has the Kodak logo. There are lots of websites, where you can load your pictures from your computer and then get the photos by post if you want cheap and cheerful and novelty items. I think Boots in Meadowhall and Tesco at Chesterfield have machines with a degree of self service.
  7. I order my books from the website, makes finding so much easier.
  8. Not sure which is worse, losing a friend or losing an iphone in these circumstances. On the flip side, he's got to be desperate to do this to a mate, what comes around goes around after all.
  9. stupid bike lanes, like the spots that were put on little london road designed to throw you off your bike and the ones on Abbey lane that a yards long. the green bag recycling scheme -rubbish collection with attitude and the stupid publicity leaflets The blue boxes for recycling that I cant lift if I fill them the western park museum refurb and the disappearance of the mappin art gallery Whatever happened to Rolf's painting? The last Moor refurb, not sure which one or all of them. Speedbumps everywhere rather than decent roads Don Valley Stadium. It looks like tents. Sheffield Airport cost millions sold it cheap The hubs for the same reason City centre ambassadors Disguising the empty shops to look like they are not really empty Sevenstone Refurbishing the fountain at the top of Fargate only for it to be ripped out a year or so later
  10. This is the book: Meet me by the steelmen based on the tannoy " would meadowhall shoppers losing family or friends please meet them by the statues on Market street" Not sure its on a tannoy anymore... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Meet-Me-Steelmen-Theresa-Tomlinson/dp/0744541492/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1311786656&sr=1-2
  11. if you need more - Mr Ben's at Crookes has cheap bits and pieces to supplement any outfit.
  12. Best cheap costumes I have seen. Desperate Dan - jeans, check shirt, neckerchief and eye pencil dots on beard spongebob, cardboard box decorated as spongebob yellow with brown dots with hole like a tv screen over face Two girls one with a green t shirt and one red both with white letter M - M&Ms someone dressed all in green with green balloons all the way down - pea pod and blonde wig, blue face paint and blue clothes with white skirt - smurfette - works better if you go as a team.
  13. the only one in sheffield I can think of is Mitchells on Meadowhead, no idea if it would be his bag, but he's won a lot of awards.
  14. oh and the acoutics in the Catherdral were great, although drinking beer in the pews felt a little naughty.
  15. I thought it was fantastic - too much to listen to in two days. I could have spent all day int he folk forest. The farm stage needed to have cut the grass and to have more hay stacks to sit on but it was perfect. Tried the world stage, the nando stage, the main stage, the library theatre. I have the rude shipyard to thank for improvised jazz that will stay with me as a highlight. Wanted to try the Harley but time ran out. Ok there was mess but this morning the main stage was laundered and ready to go. The everly pregnant brothers were great. I went to the Greystones for a chilled sunday relax. I thought that more food vendors were probably required and less leaflets about Pizza - I hope dominos is sponsoring the clean up since they caused a lot of the mess. At 7pm on Saturday most of the Fargate stalls were shut up but I was peckish. Next time I hope they use larger print on the programme of events - did not have my reading glasses with me. I did not know where some of the venues were, had never been before. Now I do, so I shall be looking out for some of the bands and places in the coming year. If Music be the food of love... play on.
  16. Made for an interesting sprint across the roundabout to get to my car. You would think that one of the many police people guarding the route could have helped me across the road.
  17. Actually you tend to need pretty specialist stuff. Shoe repairers sometimes do this, not timpsons though.
  18. Maybe a shop that makes fitted bedroom furniture could help .. something like supafit at the back of Halfords on Queens Road.
  19. Dunelm Mill and tj Hughes do memory foam mattress toppers might be suitable for a sofa bed.
  20. My son has had many parties at Lazer Quest in town. I think he still would (have you watched have I met your mother?) It makes for an easy party as everybody can get there
  21. With a rack you have to be very good at knotting ropes and wrapping tarpaulin. However they can also be useful for carrying other things.
  22. once upon a time the supermarkets were full of young people now everybody has grey hair more or less. Probably since they raised the age for cigarettes. Babysitting is a good option
  23. Sold my old one to BS computers on Abbey Lane - woodseats. Think they have another shop somewhere in the city. Gave me £15 for a non working laptop that was nearly 3 years old. So was happy with that.
  24. still dont get why I cant have a green bin and other parts of the city do. After all I dont get to pay less in council tax surely.
