Can anyone recommend a good cactus supplier? I'm looking for a couple of medium size cacti and I've tried B&Q, Homebase, and Birley Moor with no joy.

The only complaint I've heard about the binmen is from their wives. Before, when they had to pick up the bins, they came home and were too tired to do anything.

It's all part of the SCC Keep Fit program. Next week they'll leave them 6 ft further. Good healthy exercise!

These wheelie bins are so heavy, and I'm too lazy, to move them from the backyard to the front!! And what if they took them back and put them in the wrong place? Or the wrong bin in the wrong house? Imagine how many extra staff they'd need to collect the bins from the backyard to the front. Guess how much time they would waste if they had to search for everyone's bin every week. If I'm going out in the morning, or the previous evening, then it takes me 5 or 10 seconds to wheel it to the front. Extremely difficult and very hard work. This can't be a serious topic.

Funny you should ay that as I have this problem in Turkey. Network's OK until someone uses the phone. I assume the filter you're referring to is the one you use between the incoming line and the router cable. I have changed that with no joy. Maybe I get one whilst in the UK and try that.

Given up trying to work out what's going on. Currently getting 14.5 and was only getting 6.5 this morning. Doubt if wifi is the problem as my near neighbours are not computer nerds. Not that well up on routers, however I do have to reset once or twice a day (amber light & lost connection). Haven't used a cable connection for quite a few years, and certainly don't intend to now.

What travelling costs are you referring to it you're out of work? Without knowing what your way of living is, somewhat difficult to comment. You have your basic needs.You have a roof over your head. If you need to improve your lifestyle then you'd better find a job, no matter how difficult that may be. How do you expect us, the taxpayer, to fund your lifestyle?

Thanks for all your replies. I'm now getting 13.75 mbps, which ain't bad. I think Sky may have temporarily put a limit on my account as my downloads have been very high this week -over 100 MS updates + 8.1 which alone is 3.5 Gbps.

If you're living with Mum & Dad then you're being fed and watered. What more could you want?

Has anyone got or tried one of these window washers? Are they as good as they seem?

Is anyone else having problems with downloads on Sky as I'm getting really stupid low speeds. Latest was 2.06 only a few minutes ago. Doubt if it's the PC as I had to completely restore it earlier this week. I'm running on 8.1

I've had to go to both the RHH and NGH hospitals recently. I have the utmost praise for the staff at both as they are always so polite and helpful - even though some do look a bit stressed at times. Not surprising when they see me! That silly old fool back again!!! Lol.

Suspect they're investigating something. Guess that's what they're paid to do.

Doesn't anyone give the right money when they pay for anything? Always try to use up small change.

Waste of money, a TV. Never watch it apart from the news and that gets boring after 5 mins...
