Being with a housing association does not necessarily imply you're a good tenant.

Only an April Fool would try that! -
Fair wear and tear is stated in all mine Anyway if the LL is using the TDS, as he should be, then the T should get the deposit registration details form the LL and then contact the TDS.

Should have posted that today. April 1st!

Mega Travel card found in Graves park
Gleadly replied to Bexstars's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Hand it in to the travel centre at Arundel Gate, next to the Crucible theatre in town. Thanks for your honesty. -
Without seeing either the tenancy agreement nor state of the place it's difficult to comment. Does the agreement mention anything about fair wear and tear? Can you explain how the walls and doors got marked? Please don't take this the wrong way but some tenants, be it a few, have no care about their current property. Most tenants are usually first class. A property I own was recently vacated by a bad tenant and cost me £2000 in repairs. It had been refurbished prior to him moving in. I don't think £50 is unreasonable.

Ha ha, they're too busy, supposedly, either speeding or looking at the traffic. If the gym is any good, they should have tinted windows.

Has anyone been to Carsington Water recently? Any good bird sightings?

Pay slip query - paid too much?
Gleadly replied to pintsized's topic in Sheffield Business & Employment
Not sure I understand what you are saying. Don't know who's responsible for your salary however is HR not within the school or is it elsewhere? Normally, HR would supply contract. Anyway, if you've been paid more than expected then you must be doing a good job! Maybe they're in need of some Business Management. -

Is it just your school or is it at schools in general? Can the board of governors be of any assistance? I don't expect you to name the school but are you free to state what type of school it is? -

Surely you should have gotten a written contract! Did you not discuss your salary? Without the contract then I'm not sure what you can do. Doubt if they can adjust your pay if they've given you nothing in writing. Strongly recommend getting a written contact ASAP. -
There's a car park at the gambling casino in Duchess Road, Queen St, for £3 a day. You can even pop in and have a gamble.

Street Parking with disabled access
Gleadly replied to Gleadly's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I'm guessing that 50 years ago, when there were a small no of cars, there was no need to put notices up or paint yellow lines. More and more people have cars, and quite a few seem to have no consideration for other road users, including pedestrians. One neighbour, who has 3 cars, state that they have to park there as they need the cars to get to work. We do have a reasonably good bus service literally a stone's throw away. Maybe I should consult our extremely helpful SCC? -

It would not be muddy if people did not park on the grass verge, but that's a completely separate topic. -

I should have clarified that there are no signs or lines. It just makes me wonder why the steps were placed there, probably many years ago. -
Our pavement is about 2-3 ft below street level and some of use have steps should we need them, such as carrying heavy items, or for the benefit of those disabled, see pic. Whilst it makes common sense to keep access to these steps clear, is there any legal reason why they should be? http://s1177.photobucket.com/user/dehiworld/media/2015/parking/steps_zpsn09qdag5.jpg.html]

Want to join a sports club in sheffield
Gleadly replied to waqz123's topic in Sheffield Sport & Activities
Slightly OT however, does anyone know the gym at or near Meadowhead who does 1-to-1 running in Graves Park? -
Can anyone advise me how I can find out if there are any underground streams in the Gleadless area? I know some members have damp problems associated with them however, I'm in a fairly high location and, apart from a pond in the garden, have no problems.

These PPI callers are a pain in the ****. Only got one yesterday from an outfit in San Antonio, in the US of A. Next one might be from Mars?

Might they be trying to keep Sheffield safe?? -
I did that earlier this year. From Oughtibridge to Doncaster - but not in one day though! Quite a few nice shots on the way.
