  1. What they were doing has nothing to do with rubbish collection as they do not do collections on bank holidays!
  2. Yes, and the residents were out there sunbathing with their G&Ts ::rolleyes:
  3. Not collecting any bins. Don't think they ever collect on bank holidays. Just took photos of 2 houses next door and then moved on.
  4. Very difficult to stop littering. Quite a few have no idea they can be fined and others are not in the least worried. As an example, I've walked along the Don recently and the river seems strewn with litter everywhere, both the footpaths and the river itself. There are volunteers who do attempt to clean up the footpaths on a weekly basis. Some dog owners, be it an isolated few, pick up their dog mess in plastic bags and throw the bags into the bushes.
  5. A Veolia rubbish lorry was around Gleadless & Manor Top taking photos of some properties. Does anyone know what they were up to?
  6. I have a wild bird at home - no idea what to do with her...lol
  7. Gas cut off due to adverse weather conditions. Was a warning on the news this morning,
  8. Interesting thought came to me the other day. I take photos on both my cam and my mobile. All my cam photos are copied to laptop, which is constantly being backed up both online and locally so that's no problem. Selected photos on mobile, which is a Galaxy S7, are copied to laptop as and when I need them. What methods do you use to auto backup mobile data?
  9. Has anyone had any problems cancelling their membership at Xercise4less!
  10. Thanks Simon I'm now at the Premier level..
  11. Has anyone used Gurushots to promote their photos? I have tried it and have reached Premier level in only a few days. Free to join. https://goo.gl/kz6hZe
  12. I'm looking for an App which I can use on a Galaxy S7 as I need to resize an image. I can crop the image but I can't reduce the size of it. I'm abroad at the moment and it's very difficult to post large images to FB from my mobile. I have Lightroom on my S7 but can't see how to resize image. No problems posting on laptop as I have Photoshop CC on there.
  13. Only posted a few days ago. Probably more concerned with getting cars back than posting on here.
  14. Hi Not an opticians, as such, but does anyone know the outfit in or near Attercliffe Road, that will fit new lenses while-you-wait? Now sorted.. Thanks
  15. The DVLA website clearly states that you can be fined if you drive a car without a valid MOT. You are exempt if you are taking it to a garage for repair or a pre-arranged MOT test. It states nothing about a car parked on a public highway. https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot
  16. If I read this correctly, the car will be parked outside the garage until the repairs are carried out so he, hopefully, won't be driving it. Extremely unlikely he'll be prosecuted for no MOT as the garage would know it's waiting for repair. Not clear why it takes so long to for repairs unless waiting for a special part.
  17. Might be helpful if you can post some details of what is required. Is it for a wedding or another special event? Is it for an all day event or just an hour or so? Do bear in mind that there may be a lot of pre and post planning involved. It's not just simply taking a few photos as there's usually some post processing required to produce good quality photos.
  18. You could hit "reply", delete the stuff you don't want, print it and cancel the Reply. Many ways however Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V into Notepad and print it from there is one of the easiest.
  19. Never had a problem at RHH. Vast majority of the staff are extremely helpful, so even if you get lost there's always someone to help you out. The only thing I don't understand is why the floors are lettered, A B C, instead of numbers
  20. I'm sure Ryanair impose a limit on the no of pax who can get priority boarding. I don't care a hoot where I sit as it does not guarantee anything. I have been the first off a plane and the last to get baggage (from hold) and have also been the last off and first to collect baggage. Never could understand why there's always a mad rush to get off.
  21. I record the Forex Gold prices on the BBC website on a daily basis but have noticed that the price has not changed since the 25th Jan, which was shortly after Trump took office. I also monitor Blackrock Gold prices and nothing untoward about them. Has anyone any viable explanation?
  22. Depending on how important your files are, you should be backing them up on a daily basis. Only new or updated files need to be backed up. Old files would still be on your backup so they won't be lost. Never used an image backup however, so not sure how you can restore individual files. If you did have multiple image backups, how would you store these? You'd run out of storage space in next to no time.
  23. I'd strongly recommend having a second backup, such as a Cloud, in case you have problems with your on-site backups. I know of a few people who have been burgled and all their backups have been stolen.
  24. The worst drivers have nothing to do with the cars they drive. The worst drivers are those who don't follow the Highway Code and have no respect for other drivers.
