vmam 35 #20 Posted November 30, 2023 I was stopped in my tracks when I heard Shane's version of the anti war song Waltzing Matilda with it's haunting banjo accompanyment and single drum beat, absolutely brilliant.
 Share this content via...

Top4719 145 #24 Posted November 30, 2023 A very talented songwriter who mixed traditional Irish music with the attitude of punk, too many great songs to mention but just listening to the superb A Pair of Brown Eyes. RIP Shane. As an aside I was once in a packed pub in Newcastle on a Bank Holiday Sunday as I was working up there, there was me and a colleague in their and it was my round, I fought my way to the bar, got my two pints and started the walk back to my mate, the early slow bars of Fiesta kicked in and I can just remember thinking "on no" when the uptempo bit started the whole pub jumped up and I got back with about a mouthful of ale in each glass. 😀
 Share this content via...
