Not just truck driving, there are many new avenues for ex bus drivers to go down now, hence the shortage

The Bus companies in Sheffield,do not seem bothered in helping anyone wanting to get to work early on time,Town this morning was empty with buses,and there were loads stuck trying to get to work,but the times and routes altered as been totally wrong idea,we use to have the 1a to Ecclesfield or even the number 20 bus,but the 1a as now gone and they have altered the 20 bus time to 5.30a.m,so have no chance now of getting to work at 6.00am in Ecclesfield,hope something gets changed to help workers get to work on time asap

Thats because there isnt one that doesnt involve spending vast, vast quantities of money.

Can you explain the problem to your employer and get a dispensation to arrive a bit later, and make the time up during the day.

He wont reply.  He comes on the bus threads every so often for a hit and run, usually misinformed, rant.
