Rate The Last Film You've Seen With Marks Out Of Ten - Part Two

Captain America The Winter Soldier 6/10

Good to see Robert Redford back in the mainstream, still has an edge.

On the down side several of the fight sequences seemed to go on and on and on ..

Snowpiercer - 9/10. Really enjoyed this! Bong Joon-Ho's first (mostly) English language film doesn't disappoint. Chris Evans also great in it, as is Tilda Swinton. Best sci-fi I've seen in some time. Hoping it gets a cinema release.

Videodrome - 9/10. Mad.

Lincoln. An acting tour de force by all concerned and some nice period details but it boiled down to a 3 hour film about American civil war politics ergo it was hard work. 7.5/10

Pompeii - 6/10. Enjoyable but predictable and daft.

12 Angry Men - 7/10. The original. I thought it was pretty good, straightforward enough but I don't see the big fuss.

Contract Killers 2014 0/10

Very low rent Punisher rip off, Lasted about 5mins due to very shaky camera style.

Pit Stop 1969 B/W (maybe avail in Color) 10/10

1950's Figure of eight/Dirt track racing rebellion, lots of live race footage around a cool storyline, Sid Haig's Crazy, I Fell for Jolene, hard!

Edge Of Tomorrow - 8.5/10

Enjoyable if not particular original science fiction film. Quite funny in parts too.

White House down. Massively implausible die hard rip off. Good action bits but overall not that satisfying. 5/10

finally say '12 years a slave' - very worthy film, but not riveting

Star Trek Into Darkness - 7.5/10 - Apparently the Trekkies were not happy with this film but I found it entertaining whilst keeping alive the spirit of the original series.

Rififi - 7/10 - Classic French heist movie that despite being dated (the so called security technology is laughably basic) is still a good tense watch, the 30min + heist scene with no dialogue or music score is brilliantly done.
