medusa
6 hours and 15 minutes from Sheffield city centre to Rochdale last night. Never again. They blamed snow on higher ground but all there was was a little slush. Infuriating didn't even cover it. Blimey! That was a little bit of an endurance event. At least you're there safe (eventually). groovemaster
why do people want snow we cant cope when it does Because its funny to see England grind to a halt in the hands of idiots who continue to fail to prepare us for harsh winters. This time last year when England was at a standstill, I was flying back and forth from Canada to England and all the Canadians were taking the mic at how little snow we had and how much chaos it caused
kidley
We should take responsibility as well how many motorist buy winter tyres not many, theres your biggest corse of chaos when snow comes they expect all rounders to cope and they dont
groovemaster
But then the council never grit the roads in time... or run out of the stuff for that matter lol Its always the famous words "we didn't expect this amount of snow... BUT, we will be better prepared for it next year' Im sorry but if Canada and other countries where snow is a big issue manage to keep their airports and other transport services running smoothly then theres no excuse for us with our mere foot or so of snow and 'cooler' than normal temps. Snowbird78
I totally agree. I lived in Vancouver for a year and the amount of snow we had that year was amazing. But everything kept on running smoothly including the buses. I'm sure they fitted snow plows to the front of the buses xxx
