I got a lease car in September and they were really good. What they quoted first was a lot more than was quoted from another company. But they were able to bring it right down for me. Really good customer service. I would recommend them

My Renault Megan air bag light came on. And it has been throughly tested every year. Nothing wrong with the airbag, just the light won't go off. ???

I remember as a child I live near a Jaguar garage, that had a factory at the back. Every couple of months there would be an air raid siren, and even though we were not at war, it was the scariest noise ever. Would last for about 20mins and I would just hide. Hearing the noise brings back goosebumps xxx

Where to get a yellow sharps box?
Snowbird78 replied to adymac's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
We found to used needles on the back of our garden, which we thought was strange as all the gardens back on to each other. We reported it to 101 as didn't know who else to contact. They had to report it back to the council, who then told the police that because it was a non council property there was nothing they could do and we had to dispose of the needles. I'm sure this cannot be correct. The Police were great and phoned us back to inform us, and to report it if it happened again. As for the disposal of the needles I explained that I was a community nurse and carry a sharpes bin in my car. But what if like most people I didn't have one. Would I have to risk a needle stick injury from a dirty needle xxx -

Snowbird78 replied to spooferman's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I've been working in North Doncaster, where they had a little sprinkling of snow. I was at a house which is not a bus route, and to my surprise there was a gritter and a snowplough, I think the homeowner was as shocked as me xxx -

Birley primary school thoughts?
Snowbird78 replied to tigger2004's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
My five year old has been going to Birley since she was in the childcare. She loves it and is doing so well. She loves going to school and asks to go to school on the weekend. The staff I've met are lovely, and they hate to close the school for any reason. Last year my girls classroom flooded, it would of been easy for them just to send them home. But no they made sure that there was somewhere for them to go. Brilliant school xxx -
Sherwood pub birley moor road
Snowbird78 replied to mistym00's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
We were in there last night and surprise surprise there was a massive fight. Two people fighting, chucked them both out, then brought one back in, it started again, so they shut the pub. But it was after 11pm, it was about 11.30pm. I left with my friends and as we were leaving, three police cars went racing up. Glasses were being thrown everywhere, not good. One guy covered in blood. -

I've been constantly looking whilst driving around. I drive a small black car and know others are looking as people are checking out my car. Live very close to normanton hill and this has really upset me like others. We will continue to search until we find this person. But the longer he/she leaves it to hand themselves in the worst it's going to be for them. Do the right thing please !!!!

Play arena on Little London Road
Snowbird78 replied to inyourface's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I went a couple of years ago, and had a bad experience so vowed never to go back. However, decided to give it another go this week, hoping that it would of improved at bit, but no. £12 to get in with a five and two year old. My five year old had fun and playing with her friends. So took my 2 year old into the toddler bit with the octopus. Well she was happy playing, until she saw some one sat on the octopus going round and round. So she decided she wanted ago. So I put her on. Then to be told that I was not allowed on the octopus, I was standing on the bouncy castle around it. I said that there was no way she could climb up herself, and was told that when I kept coming back she would learn to climb up( I don't think my five year old would be able to climb up her self), I was told there were no supports or restraints for it therefore adults couldn't go on. So I asked how I would get my daughter down, or should I just leave her there turning round until she learnt how to climb down........she is still stuck there now turning round as far as I know ? Also if my girls want to play together or the elder one wants to watch the younger one they are not allowed as, as the tannoy system tells us over and over again no over three's allowed in the area. Also waited ages for food, we all ordered food at the same time on the same order, but ours were 20 mins after the rest of the food being served. Other people were getting there food ? Runaround so much better, cheaper and much better food xxx -
I wish I had the money to re open it to it's former glory. Best days ever xxx

Housing plan for former sheffield ski village
Snowbird78 replied to babyblueeyes's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
When I worked up at the ski village years years ago. I remember someone wanting to buy the land for housing, but council rejected it as there would need to be a new school. Someone come and and rebuild the ski village please xxx -
