I used to also enjoy The Duo Cans, seem to remember the name Harveys?? Where you had to open both the ends, in the correct order of course, rice/sauce .

I can't remember the name but yes, these were great. I loved the Chicken Supreme it was even better than the Vesta one.

I made a curry with 4 boxes on a camping trip in Derbyshire one November but I only had one pot on an open fire. I can't remember how I got round the sauce making. It was freezing outside by the time it was ready so it all went. Good stuff.

I used to love chow main with crispy noodles, not had it for years but that dehydrated meal was the future. :)

Vesta chow mein and Vesta beef curry were the height of sophistication for us when my wife and I came home from work in 1962/3.

Our first meal out (in 1960) when we got engaged was pork chinese  style.

Lord did I feel ill with those strange spices!

How things have changed.

My g/daughter and a friend have just splashed out £80 for their lunch.
