  4. So, it's just me who can't make any grammatical sense of "Sheffield dog bites horror delivering political leaflets" without insulting Councillor Stimely, is it?
  5. I got these leaflets today (oops, yesterday now!) too.
  6. Me too. How disappointing that it didn't turn out to be a proper party invite! Still, thank you Ms Reaney for my only local election correspondence so far.
  7. The person who asked here (OP - original poster) is someone who saw an episode of 'smarter than a 10 year old' where a wrong answer to a basic arithmetic question was given as right. It doesn't matter whether the OP is a mathematician or not. It is a properly set out question. It has one answer. The answer is 5.
  8. "coin". It does not mean what you think it means. But you're right about arithmetic, obviously.
  9. Stellarium is a brilliant free planetarium for Linux/OS X/Windows. I like it 'cos it's especially handy for winding time back or forward to see what's in the sky. See what you think.

  15. Have we all read the proposals for BBC local radio? The worst bit for me is that they want to abolish all local music programmes from the radio The only programme I listen to regularly these days is 'Introducing...' on Thursday evening, but if there were a local show for folk music, for example, I'd probably listen to that. If you don't like what they're proposing, follow the link below to let them know what you think. They want comments by 21st December 2011. http://consultations.external.bbc.co.uk/bbc/dqf
  16. Aw, don't be too harsh. We're all in Norton according to Google.
  17. The people who can't have grapefruit juice any more might love lemon juice . Can anyone suggest where to find or replace Sainsbury's Sicilian Lemon Juice - the 'not from concentrate' drink which has also disappeared from their chiller cabinets?
  18. You were mentioned in The Guardian on Saturday.
  19. All we need is proper stories & pictures of Angry people in local newspapers. I check it more often than SF these days!
