On MOnday, or what ever day it was I was settling down to watch the news at 10pm, when my cat came over for a stroke As the cat was walking away, it accidently stepped onto the TV remote and its paw must have touched the number 4 on the remote control, and goodness me I got quite a shock Think Blind Date, but with unclothed contestents It was shocking stuff I tell you Is this a sign that society is in the gutter and that perhaps satan himself is wandering the earth? Should these programmes be allowed on the TV? WHo would watch a programme like this, and what would they be wanting to see, or learn from a programme like this?

How can we legally defend ourselves if attacked?
rogets replied to saunaman's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
Would you not try to reason with them? Ask them if they had a bad upbringing? Maybe the burglars would tell you what they wanted to steal "Tv, xbox etc....." surely it would be more liberal of you to carry your TV to the burglars car? Then ask them "what else they need?" That way you wouldn't cause any offence -

I do think in future the protocols for self defence will be - If you are going to be shot, you need to stand next to a wall and put a white piece of paper next to your heart - If you are to be stabbed, no offensive comments to be made during th stabbing - If you are to be punched to death, you aren't allowed to punch back - If you inflict an injury on your attacker you will be sent to prison -

Its a suspicious looking car. Whats it doing there? Why is it there? Does it have a mission? Are there cameras attached to this car? Why are its tyres deflated? This car needs to be investigated, in my opinion there is more to this than an abandoned seat at the side of the road -
advancedskim Thats because cats think "I'm not going to be a wage slave, I'm not working for nothing"

Tom Hingley from the Inspiral Carpets was outside VIper Rooms, one of the free acts and he was good, we just happened to be walking past so we ended up at the front by accident Tramlines is excellent, however remember during the Roman times that entertainment was provided by the masters to entertain the crowds? The Colluseums? While people were being entertained their masters were wrecking their society, lets hope history isn't repeating itself. By the way, who was that band that came on before Tom Hingley, because they too were good. Tramlines is a good thing for Shefffield, looking forward to next years

Isn't strawberry picking dangerous? What if someone falls over, what is the procedure if someone gets stuck in the mud, do we need insurance, what if we get stung by an insect? Strawberry picking is dangerous

Big brother is watching you He can see what your doing Massive corporations are behind all this, a climate of fear is being created and we demand to be protected so we lose our freedoms As for my predictions, Wednesday to get to playoff and lose in final, United to finish around 10th so another woeful season Rotherham and Barnsley to get relegated and Chesterfield to be same old same old Who is in control of your mind?

BBQs and Picnics have been enjoyed by brits for decades as soon as it stops raining, the weather gets warmer and the sun comes out. But do you think that the anual summer riot will become a common feature in the UK? We never hear of riots in winter or when there are thunderstorms. When you look at the riots that have taken place in recent years, they all follow a regular pattern - Always in hot weather - Always in Summer - Always after 2pm (you self respecting rioter won't leave his/her bed before midday) - Always in dry weather Will it be a case of hope for a wet summer to avoid riots? What can be done, because as soon as we have a July heatwave thats when the rioters turn out in force

I feel strongly about the matchday prices for the opening game at Hillsbrough against Aston Villa. If 100 Wednesday and Aston Villa went to the game without wearing and trousers would this change the matchday pricing policy? Maybe a mass burping protest if getting your kit off didn't work? I kind of have this feeling that men protesting nude wouldn't work?

Apparently Spencer Tunik has managed to persuade over 100 women to take off all their clothes to protest against Donald Trump Apparently it is to highlight the injustices to minorities and women, and to highlight this injustice to women, he has persuaded them to take all their clothes off so they can be taken seriously How effective are protests like this one? And why is it always women that have to remove their clothing? Why is it the person who suggests the women remove their clothes, is often a man? Why do they never ask the man "Why is it always women that need to do the protesting?" This protest has certainly got publicity, but how effective is this as a means of protesting? Is it as effective as tieing yourself to railings or running in front of the kings horse and getting yourself killed? How is stripping nude supposed to highlight or solve an issue? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/afp/article-3694645/100-nude-women-pose-Cleveland-reflecting-Trump.html

Villa fans, don't get me started Was it not Aston Villa who stole Ron Atkinson from Wednesday after leading us to glory? Was it not Aston Villa who came to Hillsborough on the opening day on the season back in 1991 and then added insult to injury? Was it not Aston Villa who after going 2 goals down, then came back to beat us 3 - 2, with an ex owl scoring the winner? Charge them £300 as far as I'm concerned

Just go to Rotherham or Barnsley and save yourself around £20 per match It's still championship football And if you go to Rotherham or Barnsley then at least your going to see plenty of goals during the games How many times do you think 5 or more goals are going to be scored at Hillsborough this season? Save yourself £20 and get to the ground where the goals will be aplenty

rogets replied to Jeffrey Shaw's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I was saying to my 6 year old "did you know back in the 1980s people weren't such lazy lard buckets" which is why they need events like this one He then asked "so why don't they go on a bike without the need for the council to become organised, and have people lost their initiative?" I said "yes thats the case" -
Can you explain to me why they need to go so fast? 200mph? Why are they in such a hurry? Where are they going to? Why don't they impose a speed limit of 35mph to prevent accidents?
