  1. Many people have taken the day off due to the hot weather, some people think its too hot Looking at the papers today its too hot to be at work If I was the boss of these companies then I would instantly fire anyone who complained it was too hot to work And then turn off the water fountain as a means of punishing all the other workers
  2. Why not sign Nahki Wells from Huddersfield? NOt too sure he would cut it in the premiership, but still a good championship player
  3. I did think the PM dropped a clanger when some policies did not go in favour of the older voters, which I thought she should have been getting these people onside ---------- Post added 11-06-2017 at 21:12 ---------- But I can understand why so many younger people did vote Labour
  4. Everyone seems to be slating students for apparently voting Labour because of free tuition fees But if you are going to end up with £50,000 of debt what would you do as a young person? The older generations had free education after all So if Jeremy Corbyn offered you £50,000 for your vote, what would you do? Ignore the argument about "money doesn't grow on trees", would you take the £50,000 and pay off a large chunk of your mortgage or would you reject the £50,000 and struggle with a debt for the rest of your working days Everyone seems to be slating the young people, but Corbyn listened to what people were wanting and put forward a manifesto to appeal to his audience
  5. Sheffield is a wonderful city I like to leave my house in my car and within 5 minutes I am in the peak district, we have some lovely cocktail bars nearby and some fantastic eatery's Some excellent schools near me, Birkdale etc....providing excellent education to the children of Sheffield
  6. No clear whipping boys and no I don't think it will be Barnsley No obvious runaway league leaders either
  7. As an Owl I think United will do OK, probably mid table Hard to say who will get relegated this season because there are no clear whipping boys in this league, Rotherham are no longer in the league Could be a tight league this season
  8. Tricky one, but it has to be Sheridan and Waddle for the 1990s Waddle scoring against United at Wembly and Sheridan was fantastic too Hirst and Bright, again early 1990s, 2 nill up against Man United on Boxing day in 6 minutes And Lee Chapman got a Hat trick at Hillsborough too in the early 1990s,he's worth a mention Gordon Watson wins the award for the worst dive in the penalty area
  9. The sort of people who moan about cycle lanes are probably the kinds of people who drive to work in a car, no passengers so one person per car An no doubt have a staffy dog at home called Rocky
  10. Lets put things into perspective here 1) Sheffield Wednesday did the double over Huddersfield 2) Huddersfield failed to score a single goal against Sheffield Wednesday in both league games 3) Sheffield Wednesday earned 6 points Something not right here, its the Owls that should be in the premiership ---------- Post added 29-05-2017 at 22:37 ---------- Sorry but no Sheffield Wednesday did the double over Huddersfield
  11. The end of the world is due to happen when a sequence of numbers all come together The combination is 01062017 followed by 0847 Perhaps these lights are perhaps connected to these numbers in some way?
  12. BILLY shape himself may prefer higher quality service from better quality midfielders HENCE A MOVE TO s6
  13. Rhodes hasn't been as good as we thought I think when you look at Man United, they bought in Ibrahimavic and he is old (in football terms) he will go out with a blast So why can't Sheffield Wednesday do the same? Even someone like Billy Sharpe? Also don't forget this was done 20 years ago when the ageing Chris Waddle (who was over 30 years old - old as a footballer) came into the Sheffield Wednesday team, and he proved very popular and successul
  14. How about Wednesday bringing in a striker in the latter stages of his career, like a final swansong (Bit like Zlatan Ibrahimović of Man United) Steve Morison one final blast in the Championship with a top championship club like Wednesday, a 2 year contract, his latter playing years to go out on a high
  15. Wednesday simply were not good enough, I saw the first leg and Huddersfield were the better team If Huddersfield do go up, then I rekon it could be a record goals against, even higher than Rotherham
  16. And this people, is the very reason why there will never be a mass housing spree Nail - hit - head
  17. A predictable end The fact is Wednesday were not as good as Huddersfield, from what I saw on Sunday Wednesday were 2nd best
  18. Huddersfield to win pen shootout How can a team not score against another throughout the season and still go up? (or go to Wembly at least)
  19. Look on the bright side, no Huddersfield player has scored against Wednesday in 4 games this season
  20. Wallace was brought off by the Manager in under 3 minutes Omens are not good Lets hope this one doesn't go to penaltys
  21. So you don't think that the bottom line is that people agree there needs to be a mass house building programme? As long as its not on their back yard How many people would be willing to sacrifice their lovely view across the countryside just so their fellow (younger) brits can have somewhere to live? Not many at a guess
