Parking on pavements MEGATHREAD
rogets replied to tralee's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
Even if its 2 wheels on the pavement it looks like fines are on the cards What do you think? I personally never park on the pavement so I won't be fined, I just park my car in my double garage which has an electric door that opens automatically. So if you want a car why not buy a house with a garage? Not rocket science http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/662037/Pavement-parking-ban-fine -

It would certainly solve congestion on the roads. You only have to see the difference in traffic levels when kids are on holiday. So if kids went to their local school it would vastly reduce congestion which would mean the council wouldn't need to solve the problem of congestion -

[/color]With regards choice, how many of the parents who live at Dore/Millhouses wanted their children to go to a school near Page Hall, or Parson Cross? I have a sneaky feeling these parents living at millhouses wanted their children at the local primary -
Keep seeing that some people are happy with the schools their children have been allocated, yet others haven't So why not just send kids to the local school? So kids from Gleadless, go to Gleadless School, kids from Dore go to Dore School, Wincobank kids go to Wincoback school, Crookes kids, go to Crookes school? Kids can then walk to school, it solves obesity, solves traffic congestion and kills half a dozen birds with one stone? Or is that too much like common sense?

Common features? Lessons to be learned I think
-
These are isolated incidents and we should remember that crime is in fact falling. For example a study was carried out and it found that in 1992 your average Sheffield United fan said a naughty word every 5 seconds, in 2016 its now a rude word every 5.76 seconds. We need to not only know what the crime is, but we need to know the causes, what were the triggers and what lessons can we learn? Until lessons are learned we can never progress. An old woman gets beaten up and all her money stolen, what was the cause, what was the effect, who was involved, how did this crime impact on the victim, do we understand the assailants life history, what lessons can be learned? Until we understand what crime is we can never solve it and I feel none of us know what the definition of crime is. And until we understand what crime is we can never learn lessons for the future

You get it all the time, the 1990s were fantastic years, great music, great clubbing, housing cheap etc.....but is that the truth or are people just looking back at an era with rose tinted spectacles? People look at the 1960s as if everyone was into free love, taking their clothes off, attending big concerts etc....however when I spoke to my granddad he never did any of those things because in his words "I was int chuffin steel works workint long shifts" So the image of the 1960s is free love, but for many the reality was working int steel works if you lived in Sheffield The 1990s everyone says its the last era when things were good, but is that true? Are people from the 1990s looking back at an era with rose tinted spectacles? Will the same be said in 25 years time about 2016? Everyone things current times are awful but will people look back on this era as a great time?

We were offered a discount break to Tunisia in a 5 star hotel. It was either that or camping at Skegness. The prices are cheap in some countrys and my philosophy is "well if someone is going to be on the beach with a gun at least I'll die with a suntan" As long as I don't get shot at while on my lilo in the sea there isn't a problem (I can't swim so if I fell off my lilo I would drown) -

Cut out the messing about and straight into bed Then consider asking your partner out for the first date after that? But the question is, will a man want to have a date if the woman is only wanting sex and nothing more?

Professional Dog Walkers, I'd clamp down on these people too. Why not get these people, the fitness trainers and dog walkers on side? Pay them a wage, give them a uniform and pay them to stop people setting up fitness sessions, stops people with groups of dogs and stop ramblers So you give this person 20k per year to guard the park, makes sense -
Was it Castaway and Diamond white? Blastaway I remember having that and then vomiting on an Eager Beaver
