  1. It's not just Sheffield where the lowlife spoil it for everyone else then:- https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/aug/22/bike-sharing-scheme-mobike-threatens-to-pull-out-of-manchester?CMP=twt_gu
  2. In many cases good bar staff are aware of what the regulars drink, and can serve them much more quickly than a bunch of dithering indecisive newcomers who probably each want a free sample of the beers on offer before deciding what to drink - and then want to pay by card (individually even when in a group). Seems reasonable to me.,
  3. How lucky we are to have such cultured, charming and civilised gentlemen living amongst us!
  4. Impressive - a refreshingly different approach to the huge amount of well meaning but misguided people who think that (other people's) money should be no object - but would not welcome the "homeless" in to their own homes under any circumstances
  5. I was almost mowed down twice on the pavement on Flat Street near the Penny Black/Interchange main entrance by a groups of young cyclists hurtling downhill (on the pavement) yesterday evening at approx 7:15pm. The first one actually brushed my clothing. They then proceeded to continue at speed through the nearest enclosed platform of the Interchange. Not typical I know, but it does happen.
  6. Sounds like this is one aspect of increasing cultural diversity that I would not (personally) regard as beneficial.
  7. I did notice a white (possibly floral) 'love heart' on the 'boot' of one of the badly driven (hazard lights flashing, horns blaring, erratic speeds) cars on Tenter Street at about 8:35pm. My mother lives in (and I grew up in) a predominately Asian area of Bradford so I've encountered quite a few Asian Weddings but I've never seen anything anywhere near as bad as that experienced as last night, so maybe it wasn't one of those.
  8. First encountered a cavalcade of badly driven cars with blaring horns on West Bar/Tenter Street c.20:30 this evening (Weds 8th). Having attended a music gig on West St then visited two Kelham Island area pubs on the way home I've just heard more of the same (with added very loud fireworks) at around.12:45 am (!!). The brain-dead perpetrators need to have their driving licenses withdrawn then prosecuted for the 'firework activity' after 11pm. Awaits apologist replies.
  9. Sadly I wouldn't hold your breath. There's far too many misguided softies who are obviously so well off that they're happy to contribute to maintaining the lifestyle of the city's drug dealers It would be nice to see everyone who gives cash to beggars moved into the higher rate tax bracket (or have their benefits 'docked') as they clearly have far too much disposable income.
  10. Even if no one is physically harmed this sort of behaviour is not acceptable and needs stamping down on. If indeed there were plenty of police in and around Barker's Pool at the time the PCSOs should definitely have requested back-up.
  11. A friend of mine who hardly slept last night has attributed it to this:- http://ritetrax.co.uk/ritetrax-on-the-bole-hills-this-saturday/
  12. If repeat offenders then yes I could live with that.
  13. Have watched the lead singers of both bands play solo sets within the last few months - would love to hear the "full band" versions. Unfortunately I have another gig that night but set times permitting may be able to catch one of these fine young bands.
  14. Hear Hear. Anything above 16 or 17 degrees is too hot for me. There are clearly many who agree.
  15. Seems fair. Nice work if you can get it.
  16. If he kept his slack jaw/<Removed> shut about Trump (and the acceptability or otherwise of kissing people with differing political views) I'd be much happier with the many points made is his favour. I don't recall past leaders so blatantly 'relieving themselves orally' over such matters.
  17. (... someone is homeless because they couldn't pay their rent (for whatever reason,) If I hadn't paid my mortgage (for whatever reason, at any point) for 25 years I would have almost certainly become (technically at least) "homeless". Such is life. I wouldn't have thought that everyone else (taxpayers anyway) should chip in to put a roof over my head.
  18. Perfect description of Murderhell. Have had the misfortune to find myself there a couple of times but never spent any money in the hell hole. Ei
  19. It would work as far as removing this particular oxygen-wasting scumbag is concerned though.
  20. In the highly unlikely event of The Donald deciding he would like to visit my humble abode I would take great pleasure in telling The Mayor where he could insert his ban.
  21. I walked through Leeds city centre (which I would agree is normally even worse for beggars than Sheffield) for 20 minutes on Sunday morning at around 07:45. Strangely enough (just like most cities at that sort of time) I didn't see a single "homeless" person begging. Can only assume that they were all still at home.
  22. His views hadn't evolved much early last year. I understand he suddenly ran away when the ladies at the centre of last year's flare-up of his misogyny turned up at his inclusivity tea party on Saturday morning. Jared really does seem to be a complete waste of taxpayers' money (let alone oxygen).
  23. Although there are many more considerate/intelligent cyclists who do slow down when passing this exit I'd definitely agree that there's still a serious accident risk here given the speed at which the more 'entitled' cyclists pass by.
