  1. im not quoting anyone there is not enough jobs out there for everyone on benefits a lot of jobs are employers that want cheap labour and goverment help with money to employ people then they get push at the end of their 6 or 12 months. then they get someone else to do the job. also why should people take jobs that makes them worse off than being unemployed. the problem lies with the goverment which should make it that anyone working should be a certain amount a money better off than being unemployed. the only ones that make me angry are the ones that are working and claiming benefits. anyone who as been on long term unemployment know what its like to have the goverment on your back insisting that there is a job out there for you when they know that there is not always and they cant make someone employ you.the longer you have been out of work the more dificult it is to get a job.

  17. were i live on the arbourthorne there are good and bad parts we had trouble when we first moved on her nearly 2 years ago but its quietning down now just fed up of my garden used as a rubbish bin. my sons have nice neighbours also on the arbourthorne and they are very happy were they are. i have heard the side towards city road and manor top is not very good. we have friends and family on hackenthorpe behind the shops and they say its nice there our friends say its quiet. but most people that are getting them are the ones that are coming out of scowerdons for demolishing. relatives at wisewood says its nice up there. there are a lot of areas that have their bad parts. i would try to stay away from houses that are too close to the shops pubs and open spaces as that is were most of the teanagers hang out. try to get up to see the property that you bid for before making the bid or at least the area especially in the evening and at weekends.people will tend to give you contradicting good and bad points of most areas. i have lived on quite a few areas manor, manor park, woodthorpe, wybourn, darnal, park hill norfolk park and now arbourthorne over the last 30 years. the worst for me was wybourn
  18. i thought christopher eccleston was great as the doctor and sad to see he did not want to do any more episodes and dont like the idea of the new doctor only seen him in casanova and thought he was absolutely rubbish not a patch on frank finley. were as christopher eccleston is quite a good actor.
  19. the nice areas usually take a long time to get on them as they do not come up for bidding as much as the not so nice areas and you usually have to be on the list quite some years also depends on what kind of property you are wanting say 3 bedrooms are more difficult to get than 2 also some go to priority. if you are wanting to move from a 3 bedroom to a 2 sometimes you can get priority to move. a lot of areas now have good and bad parts to them
  20. fork handles got to be the best but i used to like the songs they did
  21. such a great loss of a great comedy actor r.i.p ronnie he will always fill our hearts with laughter
  22. houses on hardcastle gardens stradbrooke have a diner and lounge and are nice my aunt lives in one. hackenthorpe houses had a small diner and lounge but some were knocked through.the houses on the manor park have very large bedrooms in the 3 bedroom properties you could get a double bed in the smallest bedroom. but only have a kitchen and living room.
  23. my son is just about to buy his house a 2 bedroom on the arbourthorne not modernised only to that of a toilet upstairs and a shower not a bath and he is paying just under 37,000 and as been a tenant for nearly 3 years
