I presume the tories are more your bag now since in his quest for populism he seems to have ditched most restrictions and gone for the "let it ride out" scenario, that most of his back benchers want, and people like you, at the expense of those that air on the side of caution

Yeah, he's going to vote for the party that want to outlaw protest in order to keep his freedoms.

Does anyone know if the e-mails which notify PCR test results, can be received any time of day or night,  -  or are they usually confined to office hours.  Thank you

I'm not sure about emails.
Everyone I know has been notified by text, and they can come at any time so I'd presume it would be the same for emails.

I agree with you Anna.

I think Labour will pay for its position on Covid in the long run.

Up to about now they have always been careful to go for where they think the majority of the electorate are, and attack the government at the same time. That may have slightly increased their poll ratings at the moment (not that it will do them any good because there is no election due for over two years) but in the long term people will have forgotten what position Labour took during this nightmare. Furthermore I am certain people's attitude to the suppression policy will become more pragmatic (and less emotional) as time goes on and the damage it caused becomes more obvious and starts affecting their lives more and more.

But people like me will never forget what Labour have done, I will never vote for them again.

Once again you would struggle to name more than a handful of countries or even opposition parties within those countries who have taken a radically different  approach to the measure taken by the Tories.

A little quicker,a little slower,a little lighter,a little heavier but all fundamentally the same

I admittedly am no Tory voter but fail to follow your logic which is based on Labour supporting the decisions of the government of the day.

Point out where they concentrated on covid

Your failure to understand what you read is not surprising.

"When her symptoms worsened, the GP thought she had Covid and she was brought into Westlands Medical Centre for a face-to-face consultation."

Thank you.  Nikki-red.   Yes I imagine that a text may be received too, but good to know it can be any time.  My partner posted a test on Tuesday but hasn't heard anything yet.  I guess that the incease in numbers sent in may mean they are now taking a bit longer than previously.

A G.P had referred the woman   that referral  no doubt mistakenly ruled out anything sinister, her G.P would have been acting on a specialist report which  with hindsight was flawed, I'm sure the G.P was acting in good faith.

My son, his girlfriend and my other sons girlfriend all have covid at the moment, they attended the drive through testing centres and all their results took roughly 30 hours.

How can I be  a "Covid denier" when in post 3266 I had a table of deaths from/with Covid ?

melthebell, however, has his/her own definition of 'covid denier' which is compatible with a 'covid denier' not denying the existence of covid?!? :)

Basically, anyone who disagrees with the official narrative, in melthebells eyes, is a covid denier.

I don't think he realises how silly he sounds coming out with stuff which contradicts itself.

Incidentally, what did you think of him accusing me of lying then failing to come up with any examples when challenged to do so ?

I have lost respect for him coming out with that cobblers.

You might want to spend the rest of your life "erring in the safe side" (I trust you'll never drive anywhere ? ) but I want to live my life thanks very much. As far as we can be sure we only get one life and I don't want to spend it behind the sofa.
