i lived in one of them houses on broughton lane where the arena now stands used to go in bird in hand friday nights j

Hi Cleegirl I wonder what year we are taking about. I used to know Carol and Jenny Middleton who lived in the yard next to the dairy on the left hand side of the entry. I also remember a Mick Unwin who lived somewhere on Broughton Lane.

valerie munday was a very good friend of mine

they was back to back houses

if I remember rightly as you walked down the slope to the cottages

they was houses on your right and left I Think valerie lived

about the second block down at the back facing the railway lines

her mum also worked on the railway

June Lawson (also a forumer on here) her and her family also lived in the cottages

I used to go to school with her.

as you walked down the slope facing you was the biscuit factory.

carry on up broughton lane passed the cottages you came to the canal

Do you all remember the biscuit factory.

Hi, Mazcris i think you are wrong about the school on the Cliff if you go and look the name sheffield board school is still there, junior entrance on the left and seniors on the right ,the boys and girls had separate entrances i know that bit because my mate used to complain that they could not talk to the girls, has they where kept apart.
