truman
Hmmm... ... I know it's a painting and therefore is an artistic interpretation of a scene and so it's not meant to be photo-realistic, but for that price I would expect it to be a bit more accurate. Has anyone else noticed the angle and length of the persons shadow? Linky here Now if the Sun was so low as to produce such a long shadow, wouldn't it also be behind the hill on the left and therefore the bushes in the middle would also be much darker? And if the Sun was high enough up overhead to light the bushes then the shadow would obviously be much shorter? At least all the body parts are the right place..have you seen some of Picasso's work
Broakham
What an obscene waste of money. It looks like something a decent painter and decorator could knock up in their lunch break. Edited November 16, 2018 by Broakham

I do not rate his work at all, too many <removed> with far too much money, why not put it to better use? And what would be better use? Buying a fleet of McLaren sports cars, a luxury yacht, a twelfth home that they spend two days a year in, doing it all up their nose? At worst this is something which will hold its value. At best it will give years of enjoyment to someone.

Halibut
Some pearls are real and some pearls are artificial, intended to fool the gullible. Art is of course subjective, but if you're genuinely suggesting that David Hockney is some kind of fraud, you're very, very wrong.
