We have a unelected head of state and a unelected House of Lords , so how can we call our Country  a democracy .

Because it’s not, it’s a constitutional monarchy.

Note the high sill & low seat then try imagining getting out  8)

I can’t. All I can imagine is how much fun zooming around in that thing would be.

There's no doubt our 'democracy' needs revision.

Sticking a cross in a box once every 5 years for pre-selected candidates, who when elected ignore the people who put them there is not real democracy.

I know the Queen can't vote, (but she can influence)

What's the deal with the rest of the Royal family? Can they vote?

I would think not as the Royal Family is non political.

Your question started me wondering why members of the armed forces could vote when belonging to non political organisations.

Members can have individual political leanings but all swear allegiance to the non political Monarch to create unity.

I think the royal family is like the BBC. It will go it's just a question of when.

Oh my God... spare us the schmaltzy, scruffy details.

Wonder whether paedo Uncle Andy has sent a pressie.

When Lizzie dies, let's have a referendum for a Republic, then we can ensure our nation does not fund privilege, preference and perversion.

^This. If nothing else, we wouldn't have the Royalist bootlicking and forelock tugging as evidenced above.

It’s not likely that we will revolt, after all we’re not revolting, more like ‘Softly softly, smother superiority’, when it starts give me nudge.
