I think an alliance with the DUP is questionable. We, the public, should know what their demands are before Theresa May gets into bed with them.

I can't see what difference that would make. It's out of the public's hands now.

Sad in many ways, though understand why, Nick Timothy quit.

He was main architect of #Brexit including need to leave Single Market.

So no consensus. One advisor decides on a hard brexit, and that becomes policy.

Jacob rees mogg is a brilliant politician and political historian but he would just be a target for anyone ,who would brand him as a typical ,posh boy tory

and this, amongst a few other things, is why politics has got to the stage it's at now, since social media.

Clegg's gone.

Good news for Labour. Sad for him. But I get the impression it's put him out of his misery...

...New Labour MP looks a bit of a divvy...

Good speech from Nick Clegg.

Vince Cable is back for Lib Dems so at least they have one decent statesman.

Here we have it people. Anna B, hater of the "nasty party" saying a man with cerebral palsy looks a bit of a divvy.

Why? The General Elections selects MPs, not Governments.

Not entirely. The election also gives validation of a manifesto. Election with a majority ensures that the Lords won't obstruct manifesto commitments. They are under no such duty with a minority administration.

So you could argue that an election chooses a programme of government as well as MPs.

To be fair I only had a look at this thread to see how low penistone could stoop but did find her comment quite appalling as well.
