Janus Posted February 5, 2016 Share Posted February 5, 2016 I want to transfer the contents of `my documents` from my old pc to the newer pc. My doc contains lots of files from typed stuff, photos, videos etc. I was thinking that I could simply connect both PCs together with a usb cable and simply transfer that way. I wouldn't bother, it is slow and if you spend 20£ more and buy a USB external drive (not necessarily this one, just an example!), that way you can keep your data safe as well. louca001 Posted February 6, 2016 Share Posted February 6, 2016 If you just have a few files and both computers connect to the internet then you could use DropBox, Google Drive or OneDrive. If they aren't connected to the internet but do both have WiFi or a network port you can connect them to each other and share the files. This is a bit tricky but possible by watching YouTube videos. If either one of them doesn't have WiFi or a network potrt you could use a USB stick or USB hard drive to transfer the files. Drop me a private message if your stuck.
