Bus driver threatens to kick chavs of for playing music on their phones

Recommended Posts

Seriously, have you been drinking? You're the only one here talking about hitting children. Whilst I'm here, can I ask you if you've ever heard the phrase 'the lady do protest too much? :| And as for questioning you as a parent, I'm starting to, just based upon your outburst on this thread.

I think we are dealing with an attention seeker who is trying to take over the thread.

The situation re the bus driver and the law is quite simple. A bus driver asks kids to turn off music or be thrown off bus. Kids refuse to turn off music. Kids refuse to leave bus. Bus driver contacts police and parks up bus or drives straight to a police station. Kids are arrested. Job done.

No slapping and no lawyers involved.

how the hell as this thread about a bus driver doing his job been turned into a "you shouldnt hit your kids" thread.

the bus is there as a service to all, there are rules and regulations to heed to. playing loud music and upsetting passengers as well as the driver can cause accidents.

why? lack of concentration on the drivers part, due to the passengers constantly tutting and huffing as they get off the bus, complaining to the driver as they get off the bus. worried about the repercussions of angry passengers. bear in mind the driver has to do this probably 5 - 10 times a day and it can get annoying.

slapping/hitting/punishing kids has nothing to do with this AT ALL.

if there are rules on the bus about playing music, then they should be heeded, if you get thrown off for it then its a simple case of learn to read and respect rules.

Nobody is talking about physically attacking anybodys badly brought up brat. However if kids were taught how to behave in public and how to respect other people this would not happen.

Didn't Charles Darwin conclude that badly brought up gobby chavs will tend to raise badly brought up gobby chav kids, and then blame everyone else when they end up in court?

I have been on a bus many times and had to put up with bad music from chavs. I think a lot of people would hesitate before asking them the offending people to turn the music off because they are worried about retaliation and you never know what some people would do anymore.

More likely police remove kids from bus. A kid is only likely to be arrested if he kicks off while being removed from the bus.

playing music on there phone and I and everyone else on the bus was amazed and some people even clapped. The driver on 46 bus from meadowhall to firthpark while stopped at red light poked his head round door and said turn that music of no one wants to listen to that rubbish :hihi:. The Chavs listened for about 3 mins then turned it back on again he then pulled the bus in. He said Ive told you once and I am telling you one more time or your off!!! turn it off!!!. From that minuite on it was quiet and peaceful and when i got of the bus I congratulated the driver for taking action and he said well it does say on the bus its not allowed and it really puts me of listening to that crap. So a big  for the driver and if anyone who uses there phone as a walkman is reading this then use your piggin ear phones what comes with your phone:rant:.
Just as it should be.

Mr bus driver:

I dont understand what you are trying to say. :hihi:

If after a polite request, someone continued to play loud music on a bus (or have a telephone conversation during a film at Cineworld - a few months ago!) I am fully prepared to give a final warning that I'll confiscate the phone for the duration of the journey (or film), and carry it out. If the offender isnt happy with that, they can get off the bus, I'll even show them the way. I'm not saying this is sensible, productive or even legal, but sometimes people's inconsiderate behaviour needs a response.

And I'm not sure how easy it will be to sue without a name / address. You'll have CCTV at best.

WEEL DONE BUS DRIVER.......

I live with a bus driver and he has said he has/would do the same as the bus driver did!!!

Just to add to the slapping bit, if I found out that my child had behaved inappropriatly, I would have been the person giving them a slap, and making them apologise in front of everyone. If someone had to resort to physically handling my child I would feel ashamed that my child was acting that way for this to happen!!!

(my children do not get slapped, beaten up, etc.......they recieve no form of physical assault from there parents - we dont have to, because the thought of what might happen to them scares them, that is there punishment before they do anything wrong!)
